We had a promising deal with them for some waterblocks samples that weren't tested in the first I7 part 1 round up, yet we haven't heard nothing from them since end of April (no reply at all). Seems they will put all the available cash into this trademark conquer act.

I always liked their service, but this will get some bad blood flowing...
edit: oh, madshrimps people! you guys should write up an extensive article on this and dig deeper! let us know when its done and we'll give u lots of page hits!

I can tell you I've never had a bad experience with HighFlow. They have always responded promptly and with courtesy to all my requests.
I can also tell you that they had absolutely no idea what Aquatuning were doing until I told them.
Until we have some clear understanding of how the EU laws will affect this move by Aquatuning, there is no way of knowing how this will all pan out.
If present EU law would allow Aquatuning to restrict and or block other EU vendors from supplying "said components", well then the system is truly flawed and unjust. Word is spreading at high pace and most of us including our EU mates would surely boycott Aquatuning purely on principal alone.

that's exactly what would happen, and I wouldn't be surprised if some manufacturers already decided to stop providing Aquatuning with their respective products, following this story.

Funny you should say that, I've just heard from a (third party) that BitsPower is not happy at all and they will pursue the matter to the full extend.
A number of EU suppliers have been busy apparently contacting all the manufacturers to get some sort of explanation. The next few days will be very interesting indeed. Given Aquatunings obvious underhanded intentions and motives to really damage the small supplier wouldn't it be nice if all the manufacturers banded together and said to Aquatuning, WE WONT SUPPLY YOU ANYMORE.

Vincent will show them a thing or two
I'm sure the manufacturers would also suffer if any one single shop gains a monopoly over such a large customer base. If they know whats best, they'll contest and

what shocks me more in fact is the EU or individually taken country's respective legislation for that matter, allowing anyone to trademark anything, without checking anything with the actual owners of he brands, this is ridiculous and a bit insane...some very small companies (but still popular) might not be financially able to register their brand, or might not be aware in time (opposition period) that a company is trying to screw them by trying to wipe other resellers off the market (including the manufacturer, why not ?)...and our governments allow that? It can't be that easy...exclusivity (and non-ex...) contracts don't exist to be circumvented like this...

And aquatuning answers in their forums: http://www.aquatuning-forum.com/view...p=33915#p33915

Pretty much the answer I was expecting if they didn't just ourtight delete the post. We don't comment on rumors and the intentions of those starting these rumors should be clear to everyone, blah blah blah.

yeah, that's bs, as expected...at least they should become aware of how bad their reputation has been hit now, and what are those "forum rumors" if not the echo of their potential customer base

Hm, I just pm'd a aquatuning employee of aquatuning who has a account on another pc related forum, maybe there will be a tad more honest response since the owners of aquatuning won't have access to what is being said.
Since it's friday I would not expect a response though before monday.

They are not saying yes or no to the rumours (not taking sides is the correct english I presume), plus it's not their intention to discredit any brand or firm
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

I'll do my best to translate line by line:

Unfortunately we cannot publicly take a position on rumors relating to our internal business.
The ulterior motives of the initiators of these forum threads and the corresponding propagation should be easy for everyone to see through.
It is not our business practice to speak badly of or start malicious campaigns against other companies.

That last line struck me as especially funny/ironic given their campaign against Feser.

    this thread is awesome

anyone remember the story of the company which pirated the "NEC" name and actually sold electronics as if it were a division of NEC? that's kind of what this reminds me of.

Bah ... beat me to it lol.

Also Recom responded as well and said essentially thanks for the heads up but did not say they were taking legal action.

The good thing is that all of these appear to be within the window of dispute so AT could lose the trademarks, lose the money for the trademark registration, and lose a ton of customers for their underhandedness.

Maybe A-T should trademark d**kheads and enema while they're at it, because that's what they are and will receive if this goes down as we all think it will.

Well I just started a new topic about Aquatuning.de on one of the largest Hardware/Tweaking/Tech site of the Netherlands. I'm eager to read what those folks think about all of this. .

sorry but this is a cheap trick used by many scheister companies out there... i really don't need to hear any reasoning behind this... this is just an effort to monopolize the distribution of these products through their channels.

did you guys know that "champion", makers of the varsity sweatshirts in the USA is actually owned by a different company in Japan, they saw the opportunity and trademarked it in Japan and in order for Champion USA to sell products there, they have to pay royalty? similar event for EVISU jeans... it's become so hot that some korean dude trademarked it for korea and is collecting royalty from the original company.

this is truly an unscrupulous way of doing business... sadly, cost of pursuing this is expensive... and local laws tend to support local business that access the loopholes in the law.

    shoot the lawyers...
and as said in [H], let your wallets decide for sure...

and as for 2 german entities being separate... bull sh#t!

what was that line? kill em all and let God sort em out...
