Has anyone else been having problems with the 1001 BIOS? Ever since I flashed to it I have been getting random problems booting up after shut down, not cold boot style but with DET DRAM hanging. This morning I had to reset CMOS, pull the battery, take away the power supply, remove 1 stick of DRAM, then boot, shutdown, then reinstall the battery, then the 1 stick or DRAM and then I booted fine.
You guessed it, I flashed right back to 0904. I've never had these problems until I moved to 1001. Everything else stayed exactly the same in my system, including all of the settings.
My HeatWare: http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=70151
I havent has any issues with 1001, in fact I went from not being able to get my i7920 stable at 4Ghz to being able to get it stable 4.2Ghz with even less vcore! The only time I have had problems booting is right after flashing when it got stuck at "locked" stage, all I had to do was ground the computer and reboot.
I had a 'BIOS encountered a boot error' when turning my system OFF. The PC actually shut down, restarted itself and then threw up that error, just the once on BIOS 1001. I'm now back at 0805.
My clock also seems to be 'throttling down' when running a LinX run , is this normal? HT and Turbo on @ 190 x 21, running LinX it drops to 190 x 20, but not so in Prime?
Also, in Windows 7, it only shows my clock speed @ 2.67 (stock), CPUz shows it to be 3990.4?

Great news, i hope so to that this issue get's fixed now that i have a 920 that can run 200x21
No problems here m8, hadn't had any bootup problems what so ever, no cold boot issue also, i'm happy whit it.
Same here, if i run 200x21 HT on, Turbo on, it throttles back to 200x20Tested with Prime95 Small FFTs an LinX.

Hay hay.
I finally got my board now
But now the thing is what setting should i set it at. I have the 903 bios tho. Just remmeber i have the 2 DDR3 1800 memorys in there.
So shuld i just add 8-8-8-24 in the memory timings and I want it to clock about 3.2ghz or either a bit more if its possble. I hear this cooler can do a good job in heat suituations with the i7 core.

Can someone, running Vista Ultimate x64 with the R2E, please tell me how many HID keyboard Devices are listed under the Keyboard section of your Device Manager?
The reason why I'm asking this is that mine shows two entries of HID Keyboard Device, but I only have one keyboard plugged in. They come up even after I uninstall them and reboot my computer. I've tried two different keyboards, a Saitek Eclipse II and a Razer Lycosa, and got the same results. And what's even weirder is that when I plug these keyboards into my other PC, which has an Asus Striker II Formula mobo and Vista Home Premium x64, only one Hid Keyboard Device gets loaded every time.
My computer is not giving me any problems, but I just don't understand why there are two HID keyboard devices in Device Manager of this machine. Is it a Vista Ultimate feature or something went wrong? Or is it an Intel thing? This is my first Intel chipset based board in 6 years so I have no idea.

Anyone have a guide for me to start pushing my board and ram, Updated it to the latest version would help if nayone can provide small guide, many thanks.
Hey guys here are some of my 3dmark scores- only the Vantage one is official, its my 24/7 setting @ 4.0 w/ht on and QPI @ 7057 mt/s.
P36011
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=718566
Please note my GPU's are oc'd also on the vantage but not the 3dmark06 run which actually makes quite a difference, but for CPU score- I saw someone posted earlier I got a CPU score of 6769 for 4.0
Trouble is, there is no definative 'guide' around for overclocking this chip, there are just too many variables.
Also, as good as this board is, IMO, people are not willing to trawl through pages and pages of information (I don't mind personally), when all they want is a 'quick fix'![]()

No not yet my friend
Am gonna try it when I get back home tomorrow, kinda excited lol, as I've been avoiding the 19x (dunno why lol) but we will see how it goes. I'll certainly be very happy if I get better resultsThats what I love about this board, its a damn challenge, one of the best yet!

disabled HT to get better performance for gaming fps
and also with it on already temps was already passed the 80C to be throttled
Anyone having a problem booting with 3 sticks of RAM installed? If I try to boot with 3 sticks it hangs at "DET DRAM". But it will boot entirely into Windows and stable with 2 sticks, but not 3 or more sticks.
I've tried all of the following RAM modules in the RIIE:
-3x1GB Kingston DDR3-2000
-3x2GB CSX Diablo DDR3-2000
-3x2GB OCZ DDR3-1600
-3x2GB Crucial DDR3-1333
None of them work with 3 sticks, but they all work with just 2 sticks installed. And all of them work in my P6T Deluxe.
I've tried BIOS 1001 and 0903, same result.........no boot with 3 sticks. Tried CMOS, boot with 1 stick, then 2, then 3......not working.
Anyone had this and/or fixed it?
sounds like you fried the memory controller on your CPU. You might want to put another CPU in and see if that fixes the problem
