Thats fine with me. We just really want to see if the write speeds were really all over the place like the posted screenshot showed.

seriously... great job OCZ... please continue to release SSD drives to make the rest of the SSD market drop their prices!

once we see sub $100 prices I will certainly bite.

Still no random I/O performance tests though on these things the only one was Jester's previously here which really sucked (and that was streaming not random). For that I'd stick with ssavios.

Actually leaning the other way The 64GB isn't a bad price, and it would make a great upgrade to the 5400 rpm drive in my macbook pro.

Still not worth it. Not quite yet. Still rather have 2 640GB WD drives in Raid 0 on a small 250GB slice for OS and games and a Raid 1 slice for the rest.

Cool! with another run on the streaming writes then we can see if that one was an aberration or not and then some random read & write I/O performance would be killer.

Nice but sticking with my velociraptor for now as I hate slower write times.

First noticed this phenomena with usb flash drives. They would transfer 700mb avi movie files very quickly but required say a 3 min write to flash disk time. In contrast a 5400 rpm WD passport drive would write in less than a minute for sure.

But when they get cheaper I guess I might bite for the SSD "C:" OS/Apps drive and have files/DL's written to the "D:" 7200rpm drive.

When is the 32 GB version going to hit the market? One day after the rebate expires?

Can't see hide nor hair of them on Newegg. And the ETA for the 64 and 128 GB versions have been pushed back two days.
