is it just me or does it seem that non-american mail service (not sure about uk) is very complicated and has lots of problems? i think luke had lots of problems to no? (not talking about them throwing packages off buildings as they do that here)

They are everywhere not perfect. And you have to differenciate international and national sendings. International is way more superior.

Also no high side port? How long do you end up vacuuming to hit 350micron range? I honestly don't like the idea even after doing a ton of exactly the same build to not be able to know high side pressures while tuning.

3 - 4 hours to hit under 150 micron range... When you use exact the same parts, captube lenght...etc you will see you don't need high side valve. I try to put high side valve in 2 units last week and pressure was normal in high load...

I guess the "system is the solution" as IBM says. You've got this down to a fine art Little Devil. I expect that yields quality and consistency that keeps the orders coming in. I may have missed this in this amazingly long thread but how many units do you usually turn over per month?

I know, something inside me though is always like, I wanna know I wanna know I wanna know. On that I'm working on a new idea, to let me have that, without leaving it in the unit and leaving a source of problems. A high side gauge on a rather long captube, using my filters that have hgih side access, cutting off the valve and brazing in the captube. Then pinching off the captube with the proper tool and brazing shut sealing it.
What do you think?

I cheat like this once in a while and as far as charging goes theres no problem, as long as you know the system well enough you can get away with only low side access. When i do this i just physicaly feel the cap tube to make sure temp (pressure) isnt to high, and charge acording to suction pressure values.

However when it comes to pulling a vacuum on only the low side of the system, I let that pump stay on overnight. you may be getting 150 microns where the vacuum is sucking, but the high side is much much higher. Try valving off your pump and see where the microns equalize, youll see what im saying. Remember the best place to put your micron tester is as close to the system and as far from the pump as possible. some manufactures have gone to useing 3/8 proccess tubes just to shorten vacuum time.
