The allen head screws on the underside of the block strip easily, I've already stripped two of them and CANNOT get them out.
D-Tec needs to supply the correct allen screw size, the one included with the block is a tad to small, you'll be able to unscrew the screws fine with it, but screwing them back in is where it'll strip.
The screws on the Fuzion V1 are made out of a much stronger metal and are more durable, I don't see why D-Tec didn't use the same screws for the V2....

Luckily I have some other screws to replace them, but I need to get the stripped ones out first.

    Any suggestions?

Edit: Got the screws out, had to use pliers to screw unscrew them. But now my hand hurts
It's more that the heads of the screws are out of spec than it being a weak material or D-Tek providing the incorrect hex key with the block... if you look at the base photo on our store site, you'll note that I ended up slotting all four screws with a Dremel so that I could loosen and tighten them with a standard flat-head screwdriver. Yay for manufacturing stuff overseas

    Haha, nice.
Once I got the hex head screws out I cut down some other screws I had, they work perfectly!

(btw, don't worry about those little dots on the copper, it's just from air bubbles that got trapped under the plastic piece that was on there... I took it off then put it back on. I'll just have to clean it)

    Ugh... My eyes deceived me.
The pins on the V2 and in fact FLAT on the top like the V1.
I just took the block apart again just to check it out... and apparently the block is so shiny that it was really hard to tell if the pins were point or not .
    But they are flat.

    Thanks Smee

So is the actual barb spacing different at all between the two?

The v2 looks like almost the same barb spacing.... someone else said that 1/2 bitspower won't fit ;-( I want to try that block, but I want to use my bitspower! Martin, why don't u make an adapter so big ol bitspower compression fittings will work...I would pay you handsomely!

    No problem Mr. Martin!!
The spacing between the barbs on the new block is 1.4mm wider than on the V1.

And no, 1/2" bitspower fittings won't work, and I don't see how you could make an adapter??

It doesn't look like screws because there ain't any thread on it. How do we screw it in or it's some sort of newer mounting method?

Haha, your looking at the wrong screws. I was referring to the screws that are screwed into the COPPER block itself...

And yes, there are threads on those outer screws (mounting screws), it's not a new mounting system, it just screws into the backplate under the mobo.
It's the angle of the shot that makes it look like it has no threads, there also really small threads.

I think the v1 looks nicer IMO. If the performance difference isn't there... what's the point of v2?
Or is there a difference and I'm just missing it?

I agree, and all you really need is a the nozzle kit with v1.

But that is what is special about it. It now comes with a nozzles standard, the design is simplified, and they now use an o-ring washer to complete the set. It really is a step in the right direction.

I still like my blocky V1 though.

They have there differences, but shall we wait for the testing?

One thing to note: It does not come with Nozzles. I bought that extra Quad insert for $5 extra and the other nozzles (red ones) I just happened to have because I have a V1.
And yes, it does come with an o-ring, which I really like! It's much better than ye' ol' washer thingy from the V1.

Hmmm, the problem is.... I don't have a supreme to test
I'd be glad to test one against the V2 (and V1) though!

I'm not sure what the OC will turn out to be as I haven't had a good enough cooler to go any higher than 3Ghz, but I'm hoping for around 3.8Ghz with maybe 1.35-1.4v.
Well, I'll be testing on this system:

QX6700 ES @ Stock and OC
    ASUS Striker Extreme
    Corsair Dominator 2GB, 800Mhz Cas4
    eVga 8800GT 512MB @ 700/1717/1003 (stock cooler)
    Corsair 650w PSU

    Watercooling:
    Fuzion V1 and V2
    Laing D5 pump
    MCR320 Rad (6 50CFM fans)
    Micro Res

So yes, it's a quad core system. I'll test stock and OC temps.

I'll be sure to let you guys know when my stuff comes in today!
