    Man, this board is weird.
My ram is unlinked, set at low speed (1333)
So I would say it cant influence the board and cpu fsb speed.
I'm still working on my cpu overclock.
Whatever i did, voltages in/decrease, auto, it wont boot above 4450 mhz
No error in prime, just that the whole system frooze after 15 mins.
I tought that it was the max of the cpu, but why wouldn't i get an error instead of the freeze?
After a lot of voltage testing i took the silly step to look at the ram settings.
I couldn't imagine this was the problem, but why not give it a try?
The speeds were 7-7-7-20 and i set it to 8-7-7-20
And there you have it, no freeze anymore and am still rising the speed of the cpu
I can't understand why this has such an influence on the board while the ram is unlinked?!
So for everyone who is trying to get the most out of this board, take a look at the ram settings and try to loosen them, it might definatly help !

Lol I already put evrything in the box to be RMAed, but realised even if they cross ship, it would take atleast Monday for me to get the board. So I decided to keep the board and keep trying atleast for this weekend and see what happens and RMA it monday and hopefully get the replacement cross shipped to me overnight. Thanks for the new BIOS , will try it.

I put my system back together and it gets really interesting. First up, I flashed to 0511 no problems. The wierd problem about the POST mesaage complaining about the NB,SB and the CPU temperature on a cold boot went away and also the voltages and temperature are showing up properly.

    Test 1:

    CPU-E3110
    RAM-OCZ 4GB Platinum EB
    Mobo- SIIE

Left everything on auto and ran memtest no problems for 3 passes.

    Test 2:
    CPU-E3110
    RAM-OCZ 4GB Platinum EB
    Mobo- SIIE

CPU@1333 QDR(default), RAM @1600 "Unliked" everything else on auto.

Memtest hangs. I tried 3 times to run memtest and all 3 times it hung on me @ various times.

    Test 3:
    CPU-E3110
    RAM-OCZ 4GB Platinum EB
    Mobo- SIIE

CPU@1333 QDR(default), RAM @1700 "Unliked" everything else on auto.

    Memtest passed for 3 passes.

So, it does look like there is a hole between DDR3 1500 to DDR3 1700. I don't think it's the FSB guys, I think it's the RAM speed.

Now, will try to run on sync mode with both QDR and RAM @ 1700 and see how it goes.

I can understand the German a little. Thanks for your quick response too. I had a crack waterblock and I now know of 4 other people from a community that has experienced it too. There is a thread on the asus forum about it as well. I've called asus tech about the issue too and they told me they would report it to their engineer team. w/e I guess.

    I tought I had a crack too
Water was dripping from the block on the vga
After some good looking i noticed it was that the iron O-ring wich come with the mobo was squeezing the tube and made room for the water to come out.
After throwing away all the O-ring and using tie-wraps no leakage anymore and happy benching
You guys might wanna take a look at that, because it looks like the block is cracked but in fact it might be water from the tube leaking over the block (round the top)

Basically saying that the barbs on the waterblock suck because they have no tight fit inside the tubing? Use tie-wraps instead of metal hose clamps or make sure that the all camps are tight around the hose barbs.

i tried to use the included metal clamps and had encountered leaks no matter how much i tightened them. like many others, i also thought the block was cracked but it was from the fuzion barbs. do yourself a favor and use a different clamp. i'm using nylon clamps and better tubing which work a lot better.

Thanks for your input. I'll try the nylon clamps as well. What tubing do you use? I'm currently using primoflex.

for those of you missing the 3DMark06 registration code:

i bought my s2e from newegg and the mobo cd did not come with the registration code for 3dmark06. i've noticed several others have the same expericence with this.

i went to asus live customer service chat (similar to newegg's live cust serv chat) and was given a new code within a few minutes.

I can change it in BIOS and it sticks after reboot and back into BIOS....seems to have straightened out memtest errors too....crosses fingers....I'm having problems with my memory, cus i'm such a n00b. Which leads to my question: How can I see if it (tRFC) sticks when I get to windows?
