WOW...that's all!...impressive, even for a dual core!...so...doubling that would approximate a quad core at 4ghz...hmmmm

what kind of vtt and gtls settings are you using on 500x8? I've got nearly the exact same setup and i can do 485x8 rock solid, but 490x8 is unstable regardless of the cpu voltage (I have tried 1.3 plus). I know i havent hit the fsb wall yet.

    using 1.2v cpu
    vtt 1.25
    gtls 67 etc

What voltage are you giving your mobo? (MHC, ICH, ICHIO)

It will help if you raise them too, the mobo runs cool anyway

    Cpu VID 1.275
    MCH 1.45
    CPU VTT 1.27
    ICH 1.11

    rest all default.

Finally got my stable at 500x8. 1.25volts, vtt 1.25, increased MCH and ICH by .05 volts from stock. Though, strangely i got 1k less in 3dmark 06 than i did at 450x9. Go figure.

Should I go for RMA or wait for BIOS 13?

It happened several more times, but then I tried saving to bios after changing every little option and rebooting and it holds since.

I had the same problem once when using another board. It was caused by insufficient voltage supplied to one of the components in the motherboard.
My problem before was solved by raising Vcore one step.

May be you should consider raising your voltage too, one or two steps m8, and pray that it helps.

I think that might fight the SB, but I dont see it fitting the NB. I've done alot of searching and cant find anything to cool my NB. Maybe if the board grows in popularity some company will release blocks specifically for the board like they did for asus boards.

Its done with DICE. Trying for more. Too bad this board doesnt support Memset,it becomes a pain when you want to bench at high clocks.

Atleast Abit should include memory timings thing in uGuru
