Where'd you put your meanwell and will the meanwell PSU line up at the top at the 2ndary PSU cut out?

God damn, I hate it when things are loud. I got this system for near total silence. Will I be able to undervolt to the point where its less loud than the D5? Like 15V?

I came fully prepared with wide band worm drive hose clamps. Those are going to be sealed around the nozzle so tight that a Thai working girl w/ a $5 morning special is going to be jealous.

Yo. You don't need to use the whole roll of Coolsleves .. you can cut them, you know?

I doubt that you need Coolsleeves anyway. That Tygon isn't going to collapse with the liberal loops that you have.

What's that gaping hole in the optical bays for? Something planned ?

@ranker Also my meanwell is laying on the bottom of the rear psu location. I will post pics when i get home. My organization isnt complete. Still a lot of work is needed. Also be sure you get that gell stuff from petras. OMG its so yummy. It quieted the pump down a lot instead of leaving it on neoprene.

AHAHAHA iany. i know, i got lazy to get it to fit. I have about 4 feet of extra cool sleaves i bought when i was a noob. Im trying to use it all up without cutting it so i can reuse it when needed.

im kinda lost at the last spot. Im thinkn of putting a mesh grill up front. But if i see any other good ideas, i'll be sure to jump at it.

Also there isnt that much of a performance increase from 7/16 vs 1/2 that would merit me not to be lazy and use worm drive clamps.

On 7/16 i can use zipties, instead of worm drive clamps.

heh.... yeah i have 1/2 id barbs on everything. The tubing is where it varies on those 2 patches.

:P It was impossible for me to get 7/16 over the outlet on the iwaki. And no way i was going to even try on the inlet.

Also, i need to do some major cable management, and throw on the 4 ac ryan UV CCF. Thats why i went back to the zalman. It has 2 switches for CCF's.

ideally, in my own little world, i thought i could put them side by side and have the outlets cross each other. But, i quickly found out i was dreaming, because theres no way i can put that iwaki back there.

So yes i already thought of that.


Pump location is not by choice, neither was loop order layout. I had to improvise. :\

That's where mine is sitting right now. I haven't had time to play with it but I'm gonna have a hard time just getting the tubin right. My Iwaki-RD-30 is going to pump into the PA120.2 mounted in the back with the barbs facing down. From there, the PA120.2 will curl between the mobo tray and the HD racks hanging from the PA120.2 to it goes up and over the mobo tray into my new Apogee GTX I just purchased.

I'll finalize the tubing tonight I hope. However, I'm really interested knowing if the meanwell PSU's mount perfectly in the secondary PSU holes cut out for the U2-UFO's.

+ 1 on the wire management, you definitely need to break out the zip ties/sleeves/electric tape and rout your wires to do justice to that beautiful finish on the case

remember my second post. I hate things being too messy. I just got my last 2 raptors. Now i need another downtime and then need to rebuild the raid for 4 disks.

Also 2 are 8meg versions, while the 2 new ones i got are 16meg versions. Anyone know about the compatability issues?

Currently im rebuilding the E6600. I cant get the temp probes to work on the matrix orbital.

And i think i might end up buying 2 regular temp displays :P

Also, where can i find a backplate to a MAZE4 gpu block? i lost my second pair. I also need the complete mounting hardware for the MAZE4.

ranker, id be very very careful about that rear PA. I noticed really quickly that i couldnt do a push/pull config on my MCR220. If i also recall correctly, a PA +120mm fans = MCR220 + push/pull fan config in size.

In other words, You might not be able to fit it because your hard drives will cram up hella close to your 5 1/4 bay. Or worse case scenario, you'll only be able to mount 2 hard drives at the lower section.

I was able to do a push/pull on both my MCR220 I originally had there and the PA120.2 I upgraded to. However, it was a super tight squeeze where I would barely be able to get the cables on both sides to not compress against each other. Once I broke everything into 3 loops instead of 2, I realized I wouldn't need as much cooling power so I dropped the push side.

I'm basically rebuilding the whole damn things for like the 8th time now. I decided to switch back to the EK FC blocks and put my GFX blocks in storage with my MCW60 blocks just to simply tubing. 3 loops is a head ache managing all the tubing/wiring. I'm not even sure I'll be able to manipulate the tubing to work with the RD-30 atm. I might have to invert my PA120.2 in the back so that the barbs are up top in order go not get any tight bends.

I'm not sure whats worse, slightly compressed tubing (supported with zip ties) or an extra foot of tubing.

Yeah. I think the problem is the following mode of thought:

"Holy . This thing is huge! I can fit more stuff!"
*buys stuff for a 2nd loop*
*installs stuff*
"Wow, this is so huge, I can fill it with even more stuff!"
*buys stuff for a 3rd loop*
*installs stuff*
"Wow, ok, it fits. Now how do I connect it all to make it work"

I'm stuck on the above sentence. If I had gone with one simple loop like most sane individuals out there, I wouldn't have been stuck in a 2 month purgatory hell of a non finished, constantly being rebuilt system.

And with the wide open aspect of the UFO I think it makes it tougher to hide all the wiring.

Your build is looking great!

The gel pad looks tiny under that big pump, someone on XS pointed out once that McMaster-Carr caries larger pieces of the same material.

I wonder how noisy an RD-20 would be at 24v and 18v? NaeKuh it is your fault (and nikhsub1's) that I have gotten the "Iwaki Madness"; bye the way, thanks for the contact info.
