Still, id rather get a 7900GS and mod it... By the time DX10 games come out, the 8600GTS will run them like ass, unless you turn down the settings.

Exactly, Dx10 might as well not even be implemented on low end cards and the 8600 is a low end not mid range card IMHO

I can see Nvidia getting spanked by the 1950** cards in this range and maybe slaughtered by the new ATI/AMD offerings

it could be Evga super clocked or XFX xxx edition but they can not say ,,,,,,,, like the GTS 320MB it is hard to find an Evga factory clocked card reviewed all are super clocked

the scores on the topic was with zalman vf900 ,with stok cooling and default clocks the card reach 70c


with zalman vf900 max clocks = 715/1145

And the problem i see its not the OC , its the score , form default clocks to OC 715/1145 only ~200 points

Do you think the ram will hit ALOT faster? The 7600GT uses 128-bit also but the ram can run much faster.

yas got the wrong idea, 7k is at 920 mhz core... see the 3d perf clock, i didnt link 2d and 3d clocks togetehr at that run.

7.2k @ 965mhz core... but yes, mem bandwidth really kicks in at 800mhz core. 05 gains a lot more from mem clocks... 06 rather equal..

Curious to see how these things actually perform out in the wild when overclocked to a decent level. I think the worldpool results are slightly different than what to expect from XS folk.
