Why correct other people when you don't know whats going on yourself ?

Read what he wrote... The first few screens were of kentsfield (being read by cpuz as 6700)... the next that followed were of X6800 (where he hit 4Ghz)... he CLEARLY wrote X6800@DDRII 1000 3-3-3-1......

    I doubt Coolaler is wrong.

I figured PC8000/PC85000 would give better performance then PC6400. I bet the sweet spot is OC at 1:1.

@coolaler......seems intel mobo is doing better with RAM timings but does it actually impact performance.....can you compare the two boards clock for clock with different timings......i wonder if Intel is slacking some other timings off to let you run at 3-3-3-1 instead of 3-4-4-9

Can someone please tell mi how to achieve RAM speed over 800mhz on "bad axe" and also set latency? It seems that, when i want to go over 800mhz i must set memory settings on "automatic" and then i dont have option to lower the latency.I have hyperX that can go over 900mhz with 4.4.4.11.I cannot achieve that on Intel bad axe in BIOS.

That is good for overclockers that want to go higher than 4.5 with a ratio 1/1.

By the way that does not impress me.

    I was expecting more.

    Thanks for the preview Oldman.

What? I thought only th DQ6 had the 12 phase. This board is the DS3.

Anyway 360 FSB is pretty decent, does it hit a wall at 360 or something? How is the bios?

Is there any info on the prices of these boards?

    Sorry my bad.

I have confused 1 with the other.

This is 5 Phase power for budget. The official date is july 23 but I think it is coming before. The prices will be around 70£ or 120$. It can overclocks up to 320, but with a new bios might go as high as 975x is, may not be stable as 975x is.

    Look more below.

Thanks a lot! Do you have any idea on how much the DS4 will cost? Looks like a very featureful board,

DS4 is for mainstream people surely will be around 90£ or 140$.

It is a nice board with 10 phase power and that can go a bit higher than ds3 around 360 default when it hits the street with a new bios can go up to 400.

I feel happy for you that you found, as for me I'm still waiting for the DFI Intel Edition 590 and probably it will appear just middle of August.

your wishful thinking is nice, but dont assume they will have a bios update that will let it go to 400mhz.
