Official Team Group cronus I/A series bench report

Well, folks, let me introduce the one of best Team Xtreem line,

    Model / Speed:PC4000 DDR500MHz
    Capacity: Dual Channel Mode
    CL rated: 3
    Team Group part number: TXDR2048M500HC3DC-I,

    Official description:

" The Team Xtreem Cronus series is a line of high-performance memory modules bringing you advanced speed grades, and low latencies(3-3-2-8), and

especially designed for performance enthusiasts who want to challenge to the limits of performance without worrying about data loss or corruption,

mysterious intermittent errors and display problems, or worse-the dreaded BSOD!

The modules are based on the Infaenoen/Aenoen memory IC, a new generation chip produced under o.11 micron processing. This memory IC

achieves very high frequencies (more than 500MHZ, against a standard of 400MHZ), at a low voltage(less than 2.75V under 500MHZ operation).

In order to achieve maximum performance, the SPD of Xtreem IA series is specially designed under 500MHZ CL=3-3-2-8 in dual channel mode. In BIOS

on motherboard, only FSB item needs to be changed from 200MHZ to 250MHZ.
The ‘Xtreem IA’ series ensures extreme performance without the fear of unexpected interruptions. And, remember, each Xtreem module (as with any

TeamGroup ram module) is lifetime- and satisfaction! - guaranteed.

*Warranty Void in cases of manmade failure or natural disasters."

So, that's see the module standard and Some overclocking stabilities bench:

    The Ram set:

for the official timing is 3-3-2-8.., I did not do that though, but do this instead
(if you don't believe 2.25v can do that. I have another all set of re-test with volt-meter
    with screen on that. here:
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=92519)

Now I think you even don't wanna believe:

    DDR510 CL2-3-2 with 32m pass and 3d05, 06 passed.

    3d mark: 05, 06

    Thank you for your reading.

What the hell is with that low vdimm? Very strange chips. Do they go any further with more voltage?

So when is Team gonna start selling thier ram somewhere in the US?

the only place i see that sells them is Tankguys, and they are always backordered - or the partnumber is removed from their site. ex, TXDR2048M500HC3DC-I. you can google it, see a link to Tankguys that is no longer valid (but you can look at the google cache).

I just placed a back order ther a few minutes ago at tank. Now the listing is gone. Hmmm . . what's up with that?

    edit:

"It’s an annoying part of our system – when an item is backordered, and someone places an order for it, it gets “turned off” on our website… we’re trying to stop that, but that’s why. It’s back on now.

As for an ETA, we’re not sure yet. Team is trying to get some shipped in, we’re just at their mercy as to how fast they can get it here. "

    no they are Infineon chips..
I would love to know if they can do 2-2-2-5 T1
But I do have one major question
    http://www.tankguys.biz/team-xtreem-...80d132dbf4d64b
Ummm why does TankGuys say it is UTT?

Modern Ram, makes an old overclocker miss BH-5 and the fun it was

Yea as mentioned it's an annoying "feature" of our shopping cart. I re-enabled the memory listing now though. I just e-mailed our Team rep again, hopefully I'll get some ETA info soon.

I think someone brought this to my attention earlier, and I just forgot to fix it. I think it's just a typo, or my data sheet had said that. Either way, I'll look into it.

Well it has to be either a typo or a new class of UTT..

Nope, it's not a typo - these are UTT, but not the typical LL/Bh/CH stuff that's been getting the most publicity. Remember, UTT is basically the generic term for untested IC's and these are no exception

huh? I thought the UTT designation was that of Winbond untested. I have never heard UTT term being used ouitside winbond. How can Winbond be Infineon?

AFAIK, UTT encompasses all untested IC's - regardless of brand. It just means the IC isn't speed binned by the manufacturer......Winbond cannot be Infineon

You can relate UTT with OEM.

Infineon is not takenover..they just dropped their memory division (SBU) to an external company.
