    Windows Vista Ready LCD Monitor Round-Up

    Hasta la Vista? A good monitor is supposed to last for years, but Hollywood is going to shake things up with mandatory HDCP support for high-definition video in Windows Vista.     So for me to see some content protected HD DVD I have to use a monitor that accepts DRM? Time to stock up on old hardware?

    Just saw on widescreengamingforum.com that someone has a release date for the Dell 2407 in early March. It looked like it had some pretty good specs - better than the 2407. I just boxed up my 2407 to send back to Dell to wait for the new version.

    One of the reasons I forked over the extra dough for the 244t over the 2405fpw from Dell. I wanted my panel to be as futureproof as possible because I would like it to last for a while. We all know everything changes so fast and it's not cheap to keep up with it. Thanks MS what next?

    I don't see why new hardware from them would make you suddenly not fit your needs with your current.

    HD is hype.
    To keep the upgrade going to sell more.

    I like to see when HD and the DVD becomes mainstream since it seems not many either needs or wants and have a will to go for the next tech beacuse it does not add much new.
    The current LCD and DVD works good enough it be little push to get HD, BTX anyone?

    cmon guys, the whining about ms is getting silly.
    its been known for a long time now that you will need a hdmi-port on your display to be able to watch hd-dvd and bluray discs. that has not even remotely anything to do with ms.

    if you would have actually read the article on firingsquad you would know better...

    AMD is an active member of the Trusted Computing Group, actually AMD is one of the original founders together with HP, IBM and Intel. AMD is as deep in this as anyone, so don't think they're some sort of saint in this matter.

    Ignoring any differences in price, is the 244t superior to the 2405fpw from Dell in gaming? What about the upcoming 2407fpw? Sorry for the off topic, but I'm in the business of buying a 1920x1200 widescreen LCD.
