It's all good, it's just what the other guys said, a button that triggers the engine to rerank your scores.
Well, currently we are lacking in almost all the categories, only a few results in 8800 GTX and GT/GTS 512 category that I'm aware off, most of the times not even all the benchmarks were run.
By the way, deachus and jikdoc have posted some nice scores!
Plus we made news at hwbot because we're still leading in HWBot's OC Challenge November!
donny and everyone else on the team. if you dont know Jikdoc, lemme reintroduce him.
jikdoc is like my brother in NYC. we met on this forum in the tccd days and have been great friends ever since. He scored 2 gtx 580's and last night I was over at his house and the ups man came knocking with the newegg box. I left and got 2 parking tickets totaling 180.00 but it was worth it to see those video cards and help him unpack them.
I left afterward because the cards he was replacing were on his h20 loop and I told him I didnt have the energy to take the loop off. then sent me text at 1145pm with this 49k result. i cant believe he took it all down.
He said I could have the 280s until I get my 69xx card so if you see me submit with a 280 you will know the reason.
We dont have any vga pots but maybe in time we can share the costs.
Expect more from jinu in the future... he is my loyal bench partner when time allows it. also a fellow korean and xs member like me amd namegt. since I have no 5850 or decent card he is going to loan me his gtx 280 for the time being. he is very kind and you will see some points out of him in the future.
I think of him as a brother. please all give him a warm welcome... he is not the very active in the forum but goes way back in hardwr and has a lot of experience. I am trying to get him more active in here and I cant do it on my own.
i think if you guys that are serious about the team please show some kindness give him a warm welcome and i'll help him the best I can. there isnt a better guy to have on our side than Dr Kim. (jikdoc.) I watch his cat Deeter when he is away at medical conferences.
show him some xs love.
thanks jinu and ill see you sat. im glad you are back. the xs team needs you. its time to represent!
fyi we have 2 x 8800gt and need you guys to point me to the vmods for the team.

guys we lost points I lost our single core and steves 2 core is gone. I lost to a polish guy on air at 3gz with a c300 on sb850. I need to figure this out. I am beginning to think after so many raid sets on different boards on my 3 50gb vertex 2 on lsi I need to reformat each one separately and rebuild the set. they are just degraded and all screwed up. I just keep moving the set to another chipset and eventhough they are not my os drive and i am using a separate one for the os the drives are not optimized. or I need to read up on pcmark tweaks. steve help your nephew out/
If it'd be easier see if Brian can mod the two 8800s for you he's a pro.
Hope you can revive the cards.
Nice 580 action! Hope to see a bit of single card Vantage scores too!
Welcome to the team!

you have PM, yes, SSDs might need HDDerase or maybe just stay powered on overnight for GC to work?
PM your controller settings to Computurd and let him take a look.
Are you overclocking your pcie - 100+?
(Areca 1880 does 106-107
1231 does 118 on gigabyte boards
LSI oc pcie - ??)
Here's a screenshot I made two days ago:
Thanks to SlaveOnDope and jikdoc for their submissions!
Thanks for the introduction! I've already talked to him through PM!
I know Steve has backups and you still have 15 days to figure it out, no need to get worried.
@Steve: Did your memory come in yet?
Here's a quick test of what my kit of the Corsair 1800C7D can do. It was a really really quick test: Set 900MHz CL7 @ 2.0V, Memtest pass, set 950MHz @ 2.1V, Memtest pass, set 1000MHz @ 2.2V, Memtest error, so I backed it down a bit.
I'm curious what your kit can do when you get it!
I remember that kit - used it for '01 back in the LGA775 days...
You can try 7-6-6 or even 7-6-5, they are usually CL limited.

Good morning Guys,
Yes, the memory came in – working out great so far – much thanks to Mr. Dan!!
Yes, I have much higher backups for the 2x core pcmv.
I was trying to up my 1x pcmv score but running into a road block - I hope Mr. Transam is having better luck!
Help!
Current config –
Celeron 440 at 3500, 1.7v (currently on air to work out the bugs - then move to the cascade)
New uber memory - Corsair Dominator CM3X1024-1800C7DIN DDR3-1800 - @ 1400 6-5-5-18-2T PL-6, 2.2v (looks like mobo will not run 1T)
Gigabyte GA-EP45T-USB3P mobo
AMD 5870 (1000/1300 1.325v)
Storage – 12xR0 acard 9010, 4xR0 crucial C300 64GB all on an areca 1880-16-4GB
My problem – all is well until I get to the pcmv gaming 1 test.
The gaming 1 test appears to complete but then hangs with a black window and with the pcmv completion wheel just continuing to go in a slow circle.
I have waited for up to 5 minutes – no change - just hung.
What I have tried – all with no success
Lower (slightly lower) cpu oc
Run memory timings at stock for 1400
No oc on the video card
Different video card (GF 8400)
Remove the areca and put acards on ICH10R
Alternate OS – both W7x64 (ultimate and home) and vistax64, haven’t tried x32
X32 pcmv application
I think I could post a decent score if i could get over this one problem.
What else should I try, any ideas?

Besides getting a Sempron, you mean :P

Am I being stubborn, should i just go sempron?
How do i know the sempron's don't have this same problem?
(I guess I know because Mr. Foyle doesn't have the problem? ...)
edit - i think i will try this (again), down clock the proc - just for gaming 1 - http://www.gigabyte.com/microsite/207/hot-key-oc.html
It hasn't worked real well for me in the past - no increase in scores, i mean.

as far as the should I intel or amd the best combo is a 145 sempron and amd FX chipset board using ddr2. EVen the best ddr3 board is going to crap out around 300-350htt. the ddr2 FX boards will do 400+ and chew proved this to me when I was at his house. Before we killed my 1st 145 c3 we were at 5.6 ghz. 14x400=5600
I think the best I could do on ddr3 on 145 was 350htt on this asus and it was sketchy. its a fact. amd and htt over 400 is ddr2 only at this point unfortunately.
steve the same gametest1 issue is affecting everyone in stage 1. I thought I was the only one. I just keep moving the mouse around and pray sometimes after 2 loops after the test it might go into test2. its hit or miss. I think the best luck I had with with the gaming test issue was running in 32 bit mode. maybe i just got lucky but the majority of the time especially at higher clocks i get the loop. Ive tried reinstalling pc vantage and its the same crap each time. I even tried removing my vga drivers and trying a different one. no luck. At least this makes this part of the contest even more competitive. its no longer who can get the most points. now its who can get into test2 gaming.
I swapped the single core off my bench table and plugged in the i5 660 @ 3.9 on the stock cooler on the maxIIIF and 5770 and im getting around 9k with the lsi. this in the details screen i see abysmal hdd performance. Is there a fast way to see if my hdd score is fixed? Like running atto or cdm beforehand so I dont spend 25 min just trying to see if my hdd is optimised? maybe i should install pc05 and do that hdd test. I think it took like 4 minutes and I could see right away if I had it going right or not. I'll try that.
I went on FM and saw this.
PCMark® Vantage 1.0.2.0 Patch
The patch updates the following:
* Updated System Info component version to 3.21.2.1
* Removed OS edition and display resolution checks
* Addressed a crash issue in GPU image manipulation test
* Installation package: PCMark_Vantage_v102_1901.exe
Note: This patch does not affect any results.
I wonder if this is the problem? I never patched. I just assumed latest full exe had it already in. did anyone do this and still get the loop bug after gaming test1?

I already have a Cellshock kit that can run 970MHz 7-6-5-21, this was just a test to see if I can reach 1000MHz CL7 with them. As you said CL7 is the limiting factor most of the time, but now I'm not sure if the board or the memory is limiting me since I never managed to get higher before. I'll have to put some more work in when I have some free time. -.-
I'm glad you like it!
Too bad you can't run 1T, but I think that's a problem of the chipset.
I'm sorry I can't help with your PCM Vantage problem, I've only run that benchmark once.
Thanks to some nice scores by ZenEffect we're currently in a tight battle with JMax-Hardware, we should pass them very soon.
okay thats the spirit. did you decide on amd or intel for the 1 stage? Im gonna try the patch and see if it worked.
FYI I did the pcvantage patch and after I get this mesg.
PCMark® Vantage
Required Software
To run all the tests in PCMark Vantage, the system should have the following software installed:
Microsoft Windows Vista operating system (32/64-bit).
Please note that PCMark Vantage 32-bit runs in both 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows Vista.
Please note that PCMark Vantage 64-bit only runs in 64-bit Microsoft Windows Vista.
Microsoft DirectX August 2007 Redistributable (included in the installation package).
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable x86/x64 (included in the installation package).
Notes:
PCMark Vantage 32-bit does not run in Microsoft Windows XP.
PCMark Vantage 64-bit does not run in Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit.
It is recommended to use a clean install of Microsoft Windows Vista.
NTFS file system is required.
Required Hardware
PCMark Vantage package requires approx. 800 MB of hard disk space and running the tests requires additional 800 MB space.
Modern CPU with SSE2 support.
SM2.0 compliant graphics card for the GPU gaming test.
SM3.0 compliant graphics card for the GPU image manipulation test.
Its saying windows vista is the only one supported. I am on win7 64. are you guys on win7 also? SHould we install vista and try it?
IM wondering if the hw bot admins knew the issues and had some devious reasoning behind this contest. this is the most frustrating ocing experience Ive experienced since trying to clock 2 x1950's in crossfire the 1st week they came out.
steve check pm and get back asap.
