After years we had a chance to play AMD once again.
Asus M4A79 Deluxe and Biostar TA790GX3 A2+
2 x Phenom II
A full Chilly1 POT
But we had some problems before the action, the MA479 wont boot with some good sticks of DDR2
Crucial BallistX 6400(D9G)/AxeRAM 1200(D9G)/Corsair XMS2(Unknow ic) = no boot
I used Team 1066MHZ (D9G) but 2,2v is needed to ran dual channel, anything less than 2,2v (single works fine) is a no boot but i have no stability at 1180MHz or greater.... but all these sticks runs great on Biostar and i dont need to push the vddr to 2,2v to boot with dual channel ,so its an Asus bios issues maybe
anyway ,here is the first scores with AMD plataform
Asus with Phenom2 940 BE (0849APBW) - few days ago
into windows at 5400MHz with all cores
the Magic6 is possible but with one core only...
single channel (6027MHz)

dual channel seems to be the same(6025MHz)

Ive tried several times but with all cores I only can reach 5850MHz(1,78v) and max vcore didnt help ...

Pi1m at 5800MHz
Biostar A790GX3 A2+ and Phenom2 940 BE(0852GPGW) - yesterday
I did a quick test and i reached 6Ghz+ but with no validation ,yesterday the cpuz was updated to 1.50 and i was tryin with old version hahahah
anyway the max screen with all cores is 5978MHz (1,8v)^^
and we maked a new session of benching a few hours later with the properly validation tools but with no luck , the best validation is 5939MHz with one core

Well,We are totaly AMD noobs and I dont know how really good are these cpus, with the old one (week 49) we can not reach more than 4Ghz on air and with the new(week 52) 4GHz is possible but only good for Pi1m and nothing more but it needs more than 1,6v.
anyway ,we are looking for big numbers and not air stability and next week i will re-run everything again and i will use Biostar + new F1-EE from Vince ^^
Thx Biostar TW for the great TA790GX3 A2+
