Check down to the right(29c ?) is that core temp?, if its 29c its not coldair sucide.

This test is in the indoor air temperature of 18 C running, motherboard is DFI 790FXB, this voltage, CPU is very unstable and can not run the 1M, CPU temporarily loaned to a friend test, on Saturday, I will further test, before the LN2 to 1.9 v 6.11Ghttp://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=502395. But it is not the limit,Insulation does not do a good job, so the temperature can only reach the -14 * c。because the running time to time to verify documents 6.2G failure.

looks like a very good cpu for extreme cold.........if it runs benches at 3.8ghz stock voltage that would be awsome

Too bad this is the end of the line for AM2+ cpu's..........did anyone hear anything of other cpu releases for AM2+?

X-power 0852 is really nice chip with 4Ghz boot up on air

The max for my 0849 with default vcore is 4.1Ghz, that with Single Stage cooling though...

Has anyone with 4x2gb memory been able to go past 3.6GHz with DDR2-960 5-5-5-12-20-2T memory? NB Freq 2400MHz (I tried with a much lower multiplier but the CPU still didn't want to budge past 3.6GHz and I'm wondering if it is because I am using 4 memory sticks). I'm at 1.424V vCore and if I lower that, system becomes unstable.

And to take it one step further, if this info is correct then move over 45nm HKMG, there's a new king in town.
    [edit]
Well, they can probably already say that.

P.S. Any idea on the NB voltage?

Dammit Man... Does anyone know the Phone # for Phenoms Annonymous?

I went to Microcenter today, just to innocently look around and found they had a 940BE with the Batch Code "0852 BPFW, 900170", of course I now own it... Cheese... Looks like I won't be eating out until next payday...

They had a few from the 1'st week of '09, but all the serial numbers were in the "9003xx" range, so I went for the lower number.

I've tested it for an hour or so, but so far it looks like my original may actually be a better clocker. I'm quickly running out of friends to sell tested parts too, guess I'll have to start a flEbay account....

Reguardless an hour is not a valid time to run a chip through it's paces but I was hoping for a little better @ stock v's. I'll keep you guys posted as to my results with this chip...

Forget the stock v's, go forward for 1.4-1.45V and test it for stability.

Well, I've had a couple days to play with this new 940 (0852 BPFW) and I'm actually amazed at how different it is compared to the one in my sig.

The strangest thing is the CPU voltage (Stuen4y )... My week 50 loves volts and actually OC's about 100mhz better than this one, but it needs ~1.57 to run stable @ 3.85.

This chip won't even post with voltage higher than 1.5 in bios and I'm pretty sure with a little more patience it will do 3.7+ with v's well under 1.475.

The IMC is the same way, both seem to top out around 2700, but the 0850 needs 1.3v to get there and the 0852 will do it on 1.25v (more v's don't seem to help much on either chip)...

Needless to say, I still have alot of tinkering to do. I just found the huge voltage differences kind of odd.

Has anyone else with 2 940's noticed this big of a difference or am I the only one goofy enough to buy another one when I had a decent clocker to begin with...

When/If I get tired of running water I get the feeling the week 52 would be the better chip. It certainly runs alot cooler overall.

I'm waiting for week 01 chips to spin out, 01 has always been good to me. I could let people in on a secret as to why but I don't feel like dealing with disbelievers as I did in the stepping thread.....

Should I be satisfied with these settings?

    CPU: 265 x 14 = 3710mhz
    CPUv: 1.52v
    NB: 265 x 8 = 2120mhz
    NBv: 1.42v
    HTLink: 265 x 7 = 1855mhz
    HTv: 1.27v

Will be tweaking my RAM but atm its only running 1060mhz 5-5-5-18-22-2T. I did try the NB multiplier at x9 with up too 1.5v on the NB but it didn't wanna boot. So I tried 275 x 13.5 = 3712mhz on the CPU to indirectly increase my NB too 2200mhz but it got unstable with those settings.

Any tips or ideas how I could improve my 24/7 clock, I am satisfied myself with the CPU but the NB clock really disturbs me, is it worth performancewise to decrease my CPU slightly and try give the NB its x9 multiplier?

well at 1.42v on the NB you could run 2.6ghz or even 2.8ghz I run mine at 1.45v 2.8ghz

why dont you try leaving the bus speed at 200 and do this

    200x18.5 3.7ghz cpu
    200x 12 or 13 on the nb will give 2.4 or 2.6ghz
    200x10 HTT 2ghz
    set ram to 1066

high fsb doesnt improve performance really your performance comes from cpu NB and memory speed. HT and bus speed dont help except for a bit more instability where you really dont need it.

I know high bus speed looks pretty but it doesnt do anything. Ive run 270 fsb with my settings as near as I could get them and saw no performance increase from leaving it at 200.

    my 24/7 settings are these

    200x19 3.8ghz 1.55v
    200x14nb 2.8ghz 1.45v
    200x10 HTT
    memory 1066

    look at this screenie

    http://s271.photobucket.com/albums/j...t=P1240049.jpg

    NBv: 1.42v
    HTLink: 265 x 7 = 1855mhz

At least you can get to 3.7GHz. I can only get to 3.6GHz with my 920.
