can you do some FSB testing with a dual core
also some superpi testing at different FSB
what sort of RAM OCs were you getting? was that the best you could get out of the board??
Here is the Bios

I asked in another 790i thread....but I'll ask here too anyway:
Is 400fsb (1600QDR) still a hole for quads like 680i?
Made the step and ordered 1 with a qx9650 and 4gb OCZ xtc 1600 wich i hope is the same memory as the ocz xtc 2000 sli designed for 790i.
Let the games begin

Beautiful. Thanks for the response.....*rushes off to count pennies
Edit: What cpu, multi, and vcore were you able to get 400 fsb? What I'm getting at is my Q6600 does 450 x 8 no problem on my current 680i board (with quite a bit of vcore)....but I want to do 400 x 9....with less voltage than I'm using now, if possible. Trying to figure out if I should invest in 790i.

Don't be sure about that.My new Striker II can't play@1600fsb.It plays fine@1840fsb.But the first Striker II I had(died) could play well almost every fsb.She also had a working TRD setting but the newone doesn't work.
Talking about TRD,does it work on 790?Did you try it elmor?
Crazy bandwidth
With dual core it could probably be 14GB/s.

Hay people, I have just setup my Asus S2E on water, but when I set the VCore in the BIOS, say 1.45V, after restarting the voltage monitor in the BIOS report VCore at 1.48V, but in Windows CPU-Z shows around 1.39V... so which voltage should I be looking for?
Oh and what is the FSB Termination Voltage equivalent in the S2E BIOS? my first nForce chipset motherboard
edit: typo
sorry elmor
i didn't see your 32M SuperPi post there
superpi looks good to me hehe
I had absolutely no issue with the eVGA 780i , I cannot comment on the Asus Formula II. The eVGA with P03 bios went fine at 1600FSB - 1800FSB with the q6600 or QX9650, only linked mode would result in a no post.. but 450FSB with 1200Mhz on the ram went pretty fab... Must be a bios or early chipset issue then for the Asus Formula...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
