Nice going. Maybe I should whip out my DFI NF2 and the XP-M 2400+, my T-bred 1700+ and my Applebred 1400MHz and see if I can give you a match.

I just have to finish business with this E8600 first.

Thanks for your encouragement, fellas! Today I made a maiden voyage with this new cascade, charged with R-1150 (already ran CO2 before for testing purposes). I had to abort bench after an hour and a half because we got visitors, therefor I had to clean the balcony : SuperPI32M is postponed for a week

@ Mean Machine: Bring it on, I am looking forward to some proper competition!

    System:
    AMD AthlonXP 2400+ Tbred-B0
    ABIT NF7-S rev2.0 - Vdimm, Vdd modi
    2x256MB BH-5 DDR
    LCPower GP6550 550W
    Maxtor Diamondmax 9+ 40GB IDE

    Couple of photos:

    Results:
    - #1 CPUZ @ 3253.08MHz, 2.07Vcore
    - #1 SuperPI 1M: 34.641s @ 3132MHz, 2.05Vcore
    - #1 Hexus PiFast: 49.28s @ 3068MHz, 2.05Vcore
    - #1 Wprime 32: 54.015s @ 3094MHz, 2.05Vcore

That is relaxed benching right there.

I wonder what my neighbours would say if I went out to the balcony and started pouring LN2.

@George o/c: I'll try my best to get to Greece, let's hope my better half will have some spare time

@Turrican: Thanks buddy. Yes, the ABIT board clocks chips a tad higher than the Epox. Must have been due to Epox's 5V CPU feed line, which is not as strong on today's PSUs.

@The Karmakazi: Tnx and yes, i only bench older AMD CPU's and some Intel P4 LGA775 from time to time (got to get my Foxconn BlackOps back from my buddy Moonman next month, when he won't need it anymore). I don't have any proper S370/Slot-1 stuff hence I don't do it.

    @pxhx: Thank you

    Best Regards,
    Niko

and here is my XP1700+ with max suicide shot @ 2.05V. Has anyone noticed degraded FSB overclocking with higher voltage on NF7 series motherboard? It's getting really annoying This chip could easily do 3300-3350MHz with higher Vcore

I had this issue witn XP-M 2400+ on DFI Infinity - it was going good until 2.05V, maybe 2.1V. After that the results were worse, maybe OVP mod is required I was able to boot with 2.3V, but couldn't enter Windows.

Northbridge is dual-supplied by vcore and vnb. De-linking (supplying only from one source) may help.

Have you got these cpus selected or you are making such scores on random ones?

The chips are random ones, with some I had luck (1700+, 2200+), with other there's struggle (S2600+) and the rest are plain crap (2500+). The 1700+ is the only chip I chose by FPO/batch, others were bought/recieved without prior knowledge of what they're capable of

I am about to perform a L12 mod to force 200FSB because I observed Sempron (166FSB) chips clocking FSB significantly higher than my T-breds, which are 133FSB'ers.

... and finally passed 3.3GHz on this XP1700+ with my 2-stage cascade

    XP1700+ Tbred-B0:

    Results:
    - #1 CPUZ @ 3307.67MHz, 2.13Vcore
    - #1 SuperPI 1M: 34.467s @ 3157MHz, 1.96Vcore
    - #1 SuperPI 32M: 30m 5.750s @ 3082MHz, 1.9Vcore
    - #1 Hexus PiFast: 50.59s @ 3020MHz, 1.9Vcore
    - #1 Wprime 32: 53.265s @ 3149MHz, 2.0Vcore
    - #1 Wprime 1024: 28m 23.828s @ 3149MHz, 2.0Vcore

And this is the sum-up of the XP1700+ benching. Chip is a fantastic clocker, much better than my 2400+ and even locked 2200+, it does Pi32M@~3080MHz with 1.9V. Hell, it even does Wprime 1024 @ 3150MHz with only 2V! It's a pitty that FSB overclocking degrades with higher voltage
I am done with K7 platform for a while, because I've benched out everything that had 462 pins within my reach. So, until then - Best Regards!
