i answered your PM about how i like about this EP45T-UD3R board.
as for the everest's at 500fsb, DDR3-based (at 1:2 DDR3-2000) is a bit better than its DDR2-based (at 5:6 DDR2-1200), i'm talking about these gigabyte UD3R's (as i've never compared the results with Intel x48, Nvidia's nForce 790i or others P45 DDR2/DDR3 based boards yet) with the DDR3, i feel much smoother running applications, this is first and one thing i notice instantly.
the rest is i'm still newbie to DDR3 version of these boards, but i'm working on it, i also just found out i can able to set tRD 7 (in bios) at this fsb and ram clock speeds, by default, as soon as i change to run memory at CL8 from CL9 timing, tRD 7 is the lowest possible value that i can set and system is bootable.
2x 2GB DDR3-2000, MCH strap 333 (4.0B)
2x 1GB DDR3-2000, MCH strap 266 (4.0A)
