The general concensus from what i would call reliable sources is that ACC does not work nor is it necessary for deneb.

I believe that when enabled it adds more voltage in general however not monitorable, if it does help people in certain cases it's likely a voltage issue. My particular board does not like it enabled with my current bios.

So my original plan was to run at these settings....however my memory is already taxxed as it is for extensive benching.

Now onto the reason for the delays......I wanted 2800+ nb results across the board. I hit a wall with cinebench and refused to give up, took me quite some time to track down the issue. Turns out with HIGH NB + Xfire cinebench will crash.........I pulled a card and finally got to benching.

And then just to see if it was possible I did a suicide with 2800+nb and remembered to put my name on it

absolutely amazing. if this is any indication what an am3 945 can do. i'm definitely going to get it when i have the money. i can get my 940 up to 3.8Ghz, but it's not stable at all at vcore of 1.5. i'm looking for deals on the TRUE as well to cool my 940 now and an am3 945 later on. thanks again for sharing chew. i wish you could install all ddr2 slot for a total of 8gigs of memory. just curious, do you have to send this chip back to AMD? i wish i can get an ES chip .

I have 2 sets of OCZ gold 2x2 gig 1066 but I'm quite sure they are not the same IC's as one set does far better than the other.

I do have a set of 4x1 gig corsair 800 5-5-5-12 however if you guys would like me to test 4 bank stability...

I should have ddr 3 results sometime in the near future.

As far as the chip if amd requests it back I would have to oblige, following to the "no pictures" rule however means I can't sell it or lend it out because then its out of my control. That is the very reason why I still have my ATI manta reference board to this day, and I was recently questioned if i had sold it because it's still to this day a big NO NO for it to be in someone elses hands.

Best thing to do would be to scan my 790GX/940 thread, that way the comparison is on the same board, same ram and similar settings, I'm preety sure i ran 4 gig air tests.

I think this chip edges it out a little but in the upgrade deparment path its a win win, it works in am2+ and will work in "true" am3.

now this is what i am talking about, fantastic set of test benches (as always)

and it does seem as though this 'edges' ahead the 940, as an upgrade option for current AM2+ motherboards, this maybe is the the nice stepping stone needed for the transition to DDR3.

now all we need is a price on the retail part

please, please, AMD dont blow it with the pricing on this one, if this is priced to to the hilt, then it may just go the way of the 9600's, pricing along with possible DDR3 issues.

i pray none of this happens, and the chip is a bargain

So what are you waiting for get your boards and benching ram and your butts down here. That pot you guys were using looks like it can handle LN2.

Mine is about 2-3 weeks from arriving, ( its almost done )

I think I can swing 35L of ln2 if you and msi max make the trip.
