    Here's a new one.

Last week I bought a used DDC/Petras top off a guy on another forum.

    Fast forward to today.

Take the pump out, admire it, decided to take it apart and make sure it's clean.

Guy was pretty dumb and didn't even rinse it out, blue coolant drops still inside pump, figure wth, guy wasn't too bright whatever.

Then looking at the DDC impeller I see this.

    http://i38.tinypic.com/333wv1s.jpg

Having never used a ddc before I had no idea if it was supposed to be there. So I send a message to Alex at Petras and ask him if anythign should be there, he says no, and tells me how to take the impeller out.

    I see this

    http://i34.tinypic.com/2cijrwx.jpg

He then instructs me on how to take the top of the impeller off. And lo and behold I am met by this.

    http://i38.tinypic.com/a3jwp0.jpg

Seriously WTF, THERE IS A DEAD BEE IN THE PUMP!!!

Anyways, long story short cleaned it out of there, rinsed the pump out and should be dropping it in in the next week or so.

    Hope you enjoyed the story...

    Omg....

How could a F*cking bee end up in a pump??? LOL

The Bee must of liked the sweet smell of Feser Coolant and flew into the tubing

After being sucked up and burned through the cpu loop, he got stuck in the pump

Thats one waterslide I wouldn't want to go on

Actually I would think it was hurting the flow pretty bad.

He was chilling right where the water entered the pump/impeller.

And yes I know you were joking, ahahaha.

Already washed it out, nice thing was the impeller is magnetic, just stuck it to the sink (metal) and ran the water on it for about 2 minutes.

I'm a complete lurker, so this will get the first post of me:

Wow! How on earth did he get in there?

So is this one way of saying you've got a "Bee" rate pump?

Is your water cooling system acting a little "Buggy"?

There looks to be quite a bit of oxidation/corrosion in there... which points more to a coolant leak than a load induced burnout.
