but is possible change the voltage?
you can change the voltage up to 1.20, that's the limit on the bios vmodding
and here's something nice:
for comparison should beat the GTX 280 as the guy who has 1st has a 45nm quad @ 3.7ghz, I have a 65nm dualcore @ 3.64ghz

I'm using a dangerden maze4. my first time with this block and I've pleased. Low restriction and excellent performance.

Thanks for the bios GURUSAN, works good on both of my cards, these cards should be killer in crossfire now!!!

Mixture of pencil and bios modding for:
1.18V idle
1.48V load
I set .94v in the bios for the idle state so that it would stay at a low vGPU when not in use
I think 1.5ish under water would be fine if you keep it at a low idle voltage like I did so that it's not always getting 1.5v

haha, I bet that guy with the GTX280 below you is pissed
These cards are incredible. I'm going to pick up some after market cooling today Probably an S1 for now and eventually one of those T-Rad2's when they come out. Hopefully then I can hit some higher 700 core numbers, I'm barely making it at 730 temp wise.
Cards already v-modded for it, i have 1.28V load and 1.04 idle

Guru, did you change the voltage on your memory at all? I can't get past 1050 stable yet.
yes i bumped it to 2.12v with the pencil mod.

how about for maximum core without using pencil mods, only using RBE?

Could messing around with BIOS flashing on a CF setup have any affect on whether the second card is utilized?
The reason I ask is that I had one 4850, flashed around with it (mostly just fan changes) after reading up on RBE, etc., and then threw in another 4850. Now the second 4850 will not fire up during gaming/benchmarking but it is detected by CCC and Vista. I even flashed both cards back to the stock BIOS.

Thanks.
Has the pencil mod for vmem been posted somewhere gurusan
Here you go: http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/...g/voltmods/151
Is it just me or are some of the mods unclear in this guide?
the mods seem pretty clear. what are you unsure of

Well, I was just looking over it. I already did all my wiring and just need to buy the resistors, but for some of the pencil mods I can't see where you're supposed to shade in.... maybe it's just me...
OH GOD! I get it. hahaa. I feel so noob. I couldn't figure out that you have to shade around the resistor.
Amazing guide, though. Very clear.
