Going back over the thread I noticed that I missed your comment - sorry Serpentarius.

I will be painting the two copper angle fittings black - good call.

That's a very good idea - instead of "murderbox" though it'll say "murderMod" - the name for the product line I'm preparing to offer.

In reality though, Fried Chicken is no longer getting a murderMod TJ07 - Since I'm building it he's getting a murderbox. In that case I'll have his acrylic top grill (assuming it turns out) etched with "murderbox" to go along with the faceplate. On that note I'll say that the 1st person building a murderMod TJ07 is yet to be revealed. A small hint is that he moves among us.

Project Update: The Acrylic top panel is being made but there's been a slight alteration. Since the inset step design would be too expensive, I'm making a thin piece of aluminum that will serve as a frame or flange to hold the Acrylic in place. The frame will be attached to the case using the threads previously used for the black grill. There will be a slight overlap that the Acrylic will rest on.

In other news, I'm having a hard time sourcing the Nickel plated blocks. I thought I had them on the way but that's fallen apart. I'm waiting to hear from two sources ATM but must admit I'm getting anxious. The lighting is also MIA and overdue. Why is it always the smallest of details that holds the whole process up.

More to follow, Cheers.
