The only HD problem I ever had was running RAID 0, normally during benching I could push the board out of stability & get it to crash resulting in one or more of my drives disappearing from the RAID array.
I tried Samsung, Maxtor & Hitachi drives in 2 & 4 disk arrays & they were all the same, I don't think my issue was the drives but just pushing the board too far resulting in BIOS corruption.
The interesting thing with the Abit is really no matter how hard you try to bend it out of shape & whatever strange things may happen as a result the board would always bounce back happy with just a CMOS clear.

always go with what actual says...i not sure why abit has a problem of making the two to be very close in numerical value...my new Gigabyte X48T-DQ6 (DDR3) has a similar problem with their imitation of Uguru type software...they do not have an onboard Uguru chip like abit has...it appears that giga's version is software based communicating with the bios...it can be real interesting on how giga's software, from the desktop, adjusts vcore.![]()
to answer your question about Vdroop, ignore what Uguru or the bios says is "set" vcore...Uguru readout or Cpuz readout will be very close to actual vcore....then from there, in idle conditions, note the vcore and then under a load note the droop....the higher the overclock and the higher the vcore you have to support your overclock, the larger the Vdroop..although, i have found there is a minimum droop of about 0.03v for a low overclock...that 0.03 droop could scale to 0.04v to 0.05v as you climb the vcore ladder![]()

Hey guys!
This thread is more than 200 pages long.....
I just got and Abit P35 Pro
4 X 1GB Crucial PC2-6400 DDR2 800mhz

Tuniq Tower 120
OCZ 700W PSU.
Can someone give me a quick configuration to overclock this thing to about 3.4ghz?
Or is there a "master template" around that I can use?

Has anyone had problems running uGuru at the same time as CPU-Z?
http://forum.abit-usa.com/showpost.p...28&postcount=1
I have been freezing up even at stock speeds. Since I stopped uGuru from staying on, my system has kept running....so far so good.
Anyone else heard of this?

First off I would like to apologize for asking for help before reading through this thread. And yes I just finished reading all 233 pages! So far I like this board more than any board that I have purchased in a long time. My P5K Premium is a great board but this Abit board is so easy to use and is feature rich, one hell of a deal for the money and then some. I would recommend this board to everyone and already have. I can't wait to see what the IP45 Pro will do.

Here are my temp loaded running all four cores at 100% on BOINC (verified in Task Manager):

PWM 51c
I do not run Prime95 as it is not needed for my testing, 24/7 crunching all four cores loaded test the system all that I need. I do run wPrime 1024m test.
My question is do you think that I will see any improvements if I upgrade my bios and if yes which one is most recommended for a Q6600 G0, there was conflicting recommendations in the posts. Also, do you think my settings are right?
Thanks,
John

will a Q9300 Yorkfield work alright, or will it at least boot up so i can update the bios so it will?
While Asus made its old p35 boards officially compatible with FSB 1600 by a bios update, Abit is just introduced us the IP35 PRO XE, they even are in BIOS 14 after 8 months for IP35 PRO! Someone clearify me please or I dont go with abit anymore![]()

Hello everyone! I just ordered a Q9450 and since I have been eyeing this board since release, I have decided to choose it for my new build. Has anyone purchased one of these recently? I am hoping I won't have to find a non 45-nm processor to get it to boot...anyone know how things are on that front?
It would be interesting to hear what are the actual differences between the "IP35 Pro" and the "IP35 PRO XE".
Would be great if someone who has the XE version could post here and tell about his experiences with that board... how is the bios compared to the ip35 pro bios etc..
In the wake of the threads about flashing maximus formulas and the dfi LT X38-t2r to their x48 versions, the most important question would of course imo be whether you could flash the ip35 pro with the ip35 pro XE bios (if it happens to be much better than the current bios for the ip35 pro).![]()

Does anyone else have a problem overclocking their graphics on this board.
I have an Nvidia 8800gts 640mb (g80??) which, on another board, has been up to 650 core/945 mem. On this board I cant get it past 574 core/900 mem.
This is my 1st post so, hi everybody.
