it says it's 0.5 ohm LOL
    same for the other spot

kinda goes to 1.5 when i first connect the two spots and then slowly drops to 0.5 and settles there

btw i have a fairly cheap US$30 DMM so maybe it's not 100%

i did compare it to my friends Fluke and it measures rails (12V and 5V) the same as the Fluke did

Take vcore from the back of the board, at the CPU side of one of the coils.
Johnny Bravo has an excellent thread about it here:
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=153281

For OVP, try to find an alternative to PIN13 we talked about earlier.

Not needed, we just need someone to try the mod out.

OVP isn't hard to bypass as long as the 22 ohm PIN actually is the FBRTN. We can only find out by trying.

Good stuff persivore. Do you mind giving us a run down off what the two red and two green spots are connected to?

Yea, its for the P5E3 Deluxe. I didn't check the writing on the Vcore regulator, but I assume its ADP3228.

The top red point connected to the capacitor is ground and the bottom red point connected to the resistor is connected to FB (either pin 15 or 16, can't remember which now - resistance to ground was around 850ohms iirc).

Sounds similar to what dinos22 measured.

I removed my previous posts not to confuse them with the tested version.

I can't check because the board is packaged up ready to send back to its owner tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure it will be the ADP3228. I can't see Asus using different chips/board layouts on the boards. The layout of the Vcore regulator you posted photos of is the same as the board I modded, so I'm 99% sure the mod will work fine on your board (and other P5E3 Deluxes too) .

Thanks Persivore, my p5e3 deluxe also has the ASP0700 regulator. Do you think your mods will work with this regulator too? Same board layout.

Anyone getting problems with this board P5e3 Deluxe DDR3 and vcore/vdroop Mod ?

I did the vdroop/vcore mod and i am having really delicate issuse with this board. Increasing the Ccore above 1.8v will cause the board to shut off as if OVP is kicking in

Also the board is having trouble dealing with NB voltage above 1.7v it will crash and not run 3d

My board is on cascade cooling and NB temperature never goes above 20oC as in a cold garage.

    any input please.
