LP-RD680-should be the best nf 680i board once released.....
this is nice for the nvidia/sli guys...
    reminds me of sli-dr/eXpert boards,
hopefully LP-680 will perform well ...

"2 ATI CrossFire graphics cards (each operates at x8 bandwidth)."
should DFI mention at least a support of 1 NVIDIA card?

Damn! When this board is out someone will have to make a guide to the different voltages, explaining what they do. I don't think I dare touch more then a few of them when I get my board

Anyone seen any sites staking preorders in the EU? Or just any place that is shipping to Europe.

Yeah, anyone want to make an easy to understand guide that explains what each voltage option represent, how they work and how they will affect overclocking?

I'm sure many will like the ultra-d... of which there are numerous, once people actually get the boards in their hands... right now its still under NDA.

Well then they are wrong. As long as it has a PCI-E slot you can run just about any PCI-E card in it.
The problem is when you´re going multigpu.

It runs NV7900GTX SLI faster than the 680i boards with the same 85.14 drivers.

There does not appear to be a cpu/mem divider setting. Memory clk seems totally independant of cpu clk.

There are not any memory dividers on the RD600 per say. The memory clock is true async if you want it be. I can set DDR2-1103 with a 283FSB or DDR2-981 if I want as an example. The memory clock is totally independent of the CPU FSB in async mode and it works very well.

yeah, but I can set a 3:4 divider if async mode is turned of, right?

There are no need for dividers. That's the best thing about the RD600 i reckon.

no need for dividers? that sounds awesome, cant wait to see some first results with the board

but some things on the dfi product page doesnt sound so great to me

    • Expansion Slots
      # 3 PCI Express x16 slots for ATI CrossFire and ATI Physics 2+1 Configuration (2 Graphics + 1 Physics)
      - 2 ATI CrossFire graphics cards (each operates at x8 bandwidth).
      - 1 ATI Physics graphics card operates at x2 bandwidth.

but overall the boards could be better then intels 975x chipsets, we will see...
