    prob w/ nf7

    I have two probs w/ the new nf7 (non -s) that i have:

    1) it will not do high FSB's. I do not know what exact FSB it will not boot into windows but it will boot into it at 166mhz, but not at 180, 190, and 200. I have corsair xms 3200 ram that i am positive will do 211fsb with only 2.5v. I have tried all of the voltages on the ram and northbridge. it is not a question of my cpu being stable cause my 1700+ will not do 7x200.... it will post, but not go into windows
    2) i can not use a USB keyboard and Mouse together. i had the same prob w/ my old 8rda+ . i ge a motherboard resources error in windows.

    CPU=1700+ Tbred B
    512mb Corsair XMS 3200 Cas 2.5
    Albatron turbo gf4 non oc
    audigy in slot 4

    integrated sound, cpu thermal throttling disable in bios.

    A usb/ps2 adapter? it doesnt work w/ the MS Natural Pro Elite probably cause there is a built in usb hub.

    I have narrowed down the issue. I am able to run any fsb i want using the 11.0x and 11.5x mults. Anything under that, i can not run a SINGLE MHZ above 166mhz and boot into windows. seeing how my cpu maxes out at 11x180, this is not good. all i have to say is WTF! abit needs to come out w/ a bios to fix this unless someone else knows something...

    i believe this is a known problem with the NF7 motherboard.

    i know there is another similar thread around here. the problem has to do with low mults and high FSBs. they get into it a little in the thread i linked.

    yeah i had the same problem with my NF7, my XP1800 would do 1.8ghz without a hitch at 100 and 133 fsb. But can barely do 1.5ghz at 166+ fsb. I rma'ed it twice for other problems i've been having with it. allstarshop finally decided just to give me a refund. Kimberley from allstarshop said they were going to pull the NF7-S off there shelves because of the volume of RMA's there getting for bios failures. so bust out my trusty kg7 again. If i were you i would try to get a refund and wait for the rev2.
