Question Whats an Average Overclock of a Stock R9700 Pro?

I am just wondering, cause I see in reviews people getting 400 mhz and more with stock 9700's.
but I can't even get 360 out of mine, before it craps out.
I can get 370, but then the nature test in 3dmark goes haywire.

I am just wondering, cause I am about to Vmod my 9700, but I am wondering if it's even gonna help.

I am modifying it and taking the heatsink off to cool it with a peltier and 1/2 inch cooling.

I'd like to be able to reach 400 and higher, but I am wondering if I just got a lemon of a card and may not even do much after the Vmod.

on the core mine only went 350mhz with stock cooling. I didn't see much of a difference with AS3. With a volt-mod, pelt and watercooling it maxed out around 430mhz. the memory wouldn't go past 330 without ramsinks. with ramsinks the memory maxes out at 372.

    9700 Top Speeds

Water cooling my GPU with cool H2O (15C) and airsinks on the RAM (both sides) produced almost identical results to shortcircuit's.

430.07/379.93 were my top speeds without jaggies for my built by ATI 9700 Pro, with v-modded memory and GPU. This was with my case open and good air circulation with ambient of 22.8C.
Latest: Asus K8n4-e Delux, Mobile 3400 with 1 Mg cache, 754 PCI-E goodness, 7800GT. Four other AMD rigs and a Dell notebook.

360/330 seems like the average stock overclock and many card fail with the AGP a tad over stock.
