Poor memory bandwith on my Asus KV8 SE Deluxe (3200+ newcasttle)

I have 2x512 Adata PC4000 on my ASUS K8V SE Deluxe. Currentrly it“s running at 442mhz 2.5-4-3-5 (no PCI/AGP Lock available) and it only gives me about 2700Mb/s on sandra“s mem buffered test.
Is it normal that poor result? I don“t know how to better those results until I change this board with the DFI but here in Spain I“ll have to wait for it.
I know the 3500/3700EB are better but will I be able to get a decent bandwith with this mem on the DFI?

On my old P4-2.8C on the AI7 i865 it gives me around 4800Mb/s without overclock so i think the memory is OK but since I got the 3200+ and the asus I have too poor results.

I know the timings of my mem are a bit slow but 2700mb is TOO slow in my opinion. I sopose that I won“t know if it works better on the DFI lanparty UT until I have it but I don“t understand how a common kingston value ram at 400 scores better on a friends Epox nforce3 250gb at default speeds than mine on an asus (via) at 442mhz. Timings are more relaxed on mine but it“s running at 42mhz more, so it should be compensated.

I dont know man but that is a very look score..

But AMD does like a 1:1 FSB/DDR ratio for the best performance most of the time.

    bias_hjorth, isn“t this 1t ??

    Logical/Chipset 2 Memory Banks
    Bank 0 : 256MB DDR-SDRAM 2.5-4-3-3CL 1CMD
    Bank 1 : 256MB DDR-SDRAM 2.5-4-3-3CL 1CMD
    Bank 4 : 256MB DDR-SDRAM 2.5-4-3-3CL 1CMD
    Bank 5 : 256MB DDR-SDRAM 2.5-4-3-3CL 1CMD

If it isn“t i“ll try that.

ugp, mine is 221FSB 1:1 ratio. That“s why I am so confused about the poor result

    I thougth the 1CMD = 1T
    Bank 0 : 256MB DDR-SDRAM 2.5-4-3-3CL 1CMD
    Bank 1 : 256MB DDR-SDRAM 2.5-4-3-3CL 1CMD
    Bank 4 : 256MB DDR-SDRAM 2.5-4-3-3CL 1CMD
    Bank 5 : 256MB DDR-SDRAM 2.5-4-3-3CL 1CMD

Since bias_hjorth post I've been trying with multiple bios configurations until i´ve tried disabling 2T command that was set to Auto. Now I only have 3100mb/s aprox. Altough that is not a good score, it looks much better

    Thank you all

Well I have been able to hit higher then 215...I have done 225 but because of the crappy motherboard I have it doesn't supply enough voltage for the CPU to remain stable...

If you have PC4000 you should be able to run it alot higher then 220 right? It is 250 by default on the bus right?

Yeah it is single channel because the memory controller is onboard with the CPU itself. THe new 939s are going to be Dual Channel as well. And they are going to kick Intels Ass!

My problem is that i have a via MB that hastn't pci/agp lock, so my SATA raptor doesn't support more than 220 fsb. If I try to go more than 222fsb win dlls get corrupet and I have to reinstall win (I hate reinstalling win). I'm waiting for the DFI. Then I'll be able to push the AMD and the memory modules at least 250

Yes, on #6 I posted that I had 2T enabled and that I went from 2700 to 3100 mb/s disabling it. Now the only thing I hate is the AGP / PCI limitation. I can only continue waiting for the arrive of the the nforce3 DFI. But it'll take some weeks until we can order it here in Spain :'(
