Here we go
Can you read the part numbers of all the chips circled+numbered? There is nothing on the backside of interest.
1)
D1802:
T 9K
2)
96BV
LM431
ACM
3)
LT928
1144
4)
TL072C
97M
AXDF
5)
431AC
98M (last letter not sure)
D61D (last two letters not sure)
6)
KTN
K7
Now what you need to do is get your multimeter and measure the voltage across each of the large can-type capacitors and post them - just put the voltages on the pic. If there aren't leads through the PCB then you have to get up close and personal on the other side. There are usually two solder pads that you can put probes on.Originally posted by LeChuck

D1802:
T 9K
MOSFET, not particularly of interest
2)
96BV
LM431
ACM
LM431ACM = 2% accuracy SO-8 linear reference diode <-- Voltmod candidate
3)
LT928
1144
iuno....
4)
TL072C
97M
AXDF
Dual Op-amps - possibly feedback control mechanism? Datasheet
5)
431AC
98M (last letter not sure)
D61D (last two letters not sure)
Same as LM431 but from a 3rd party manufacturer
6)
KTN
K7
iuno - probably not voltage related

Do you mean the 2 black capacitors near the GPU?
These caps, if you can

I will try on saturday!
Thx for your help![]()
Here they are!
Apologies for not replying in a while.
Chips 2 and 5 are the ones you need to mod. Both are SO-8 packaged LM431s, even though they are made by different manufacturers they should still have the same pinouts.
Modding these should be easy.
http://www.national.com/ds.cgi/LM/LM431.pdf
First, check that the reference pins on both are ~1.25V. Then with the card off, measure the resistance from the ref pin to the EDIT: ANODE! pin. It should be a steady value less than 1k ohms.
To mod it connect a multiturn 10K or so pot between pins 8 and 2/3.
Chip 5 controls the VGPU (due to the many caps around the MOSFET) and chip 2 probably controls the DDR voltage, but I don't know about VDDQ. It may just be powered from the 3.3V line.
I would hold off modding chip 5, do 2 first and see if the core speed increases.

I hope you still wanna help me .....
I measured the voltages and the resistance of both chips:
No 5: 2.50 V and 0.097 kOhms.
No 2: 2.50 V and 1.074 kOhms.
I measured between pin 8 and 2 or 3 .. always the same values.
So i need to connect the 10k multiturn between pins 8 and 2 or 8 and 3??? Or between 8 and 2 and 3???
Any news on this mod...???
I will try do the same on a asus v6800DDR.
Thks in advance!

I just bridged the mosfets with wire.. 3.38v core and 4.0v mem
Mine isnt the deluxe model though, and only came with 2.0v on the core stock according to mosfet left of capactors in pics.
All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.
Which pins you used? 8 and 2 or 8 and 3, or both of them?Originally posted by STEvil

I didn't find any solution yet that is working... is there someone who can help me?

has anybody got a guide to modding the winfast leadtek geforce DDR? Looks almost like the same card![]()
AMD Turion MT34 @ 250*9=2250MHz 24/7
ATI X800PRO
MSI K8NM FISR BIOS Rev 1.5 My first BIOS modification
2x80GB Maxtor drives @ RAID-0
1x160GB Seagate
Everything in a mATX case.
I have mod chip 2, the card start but I don't know were the monitoring point is, one of the caps? If the mod dosen't work I probably ingrease the 3.3v rail and see if that help. Or mod chip 5.
Sorry for my english![]()
