    2500+M stinks....

argh, I got my 2500, hoping it would do 2.5ghz on air, but it wont
right now I am at 232x10.5=2.45ghz
It need 1.95 Vcore for that
seems to max at the same speed as my old Tbred JIUHB

My 2400+M maxes out at the same, 2450 stable @ 1.925. I can push it to 2550 but it's just asking for a BSOD, freeze or crash. More volts does nothing, 42c loaded temp.

I just got a new Little Giant 475gph and switched to an auto radiator (from a truck) and got 2800MHz stable finally with mine. They sure do seem to like better cooling.

Do you have any pictures of your cooling setup Poki? I would like to see how your rig looks.

It's not pretty by any means i just wanted to use a larger radiator because my old one wasn't allowing the water to cool properly. It was fine with my old 175gph pump but this new one really pumps it through too fast.
I used the room next to my workspace which has an unfinished bare concrete floor which only houses the sump pump and computer parts. I drilled 2 holes through the wall for the 1/2" tubing that feeds the waterblock.
I wanted to use the radiator as a resevior also but after testing the new pump as a inline unit it got way too hot. I knew i had to run it submersed so thats how the resevior ended up being part of it.
Anyway, the loop starts at the pump and goes to 1/2" tubing to the waterblock then 1/2" back to the radiator. It passes through and comes out a 3/4" tube to resevoir which i change the height of in relation to the top of the radiator to insure the radiator is flooded at all times. I also use the pressure relief cap to purge the air on fillup as it's on the discharge side of the radiator.
This is far from the way i wanted to do it but when i do get a true inline high pressure pump i'll remove the resevior from the system and use the radiator for one.

The main cooling nipples on the radiator were plugged and epoxied and then sealed with silicone after a day. I removed the pet:banana::banana::banana::banana: and drilled and tapped 1/2"NPT for the input and used the stock heater nipple for the return to the res.

bartons usually get a boost above above 2v, even tbreds actually, but bartons are very sensitive to heat. high volts and cool temps is what good bartons need to shine.

    No wait!

Galvanized bucket, empty milk crate, box fan and a radiator from a truck, this is what overclocking is all about!

Kudos to you Poki. I guess it ain't pretty but I'm sure it's cooler than the other side of the pillow.
