There is a new bios for the Shuttle AN50R motherboard.

    here the changes:

    1. Support Cool'n'Quiet function for K8 CG Version CPU.
    2. Added CPU Frequency ID.
    3. Added Mem_1T/2T by item for CG version or after.
    4. Fixed I/O compatibility with PCI Game port.
    5. Fixed RAID 0/1 function when install without PS2 mouse.

Anyone know is the MP is selectable?? Im on my work so cant test it now.

How about the problem with running 2x512 MB of RAM on the Shuttle? Does this bios fix that issue?

this new bios is totally trash for me

before i can do 10x260 for 3dmark now 10x260 doesnt even boot..

btw regarding ram issue, i saw this on the corsair forums

RAM GUY: "Honestly we do not have as good a relationship with Shuttle as we do with other MB makers. And when you ask them about over clocking they will just hang up the phone, even with us. And this problem is a bios problem that we are seeing with Gigabyte as well. But I would use a MB better suited for over clocking and test the modules and I think you will get a very
    different result."

Now where's my god damn Abit NF3...

This bios seems to have solved my RAM issues. It may not be a good overclocker, but at least it solves my problem in running 2x512 MB of RAM without getting random BSOD.
If Shuttle were to put some more effort into it they may produce a bios version that would make us all happy.

I tried this bios but Apparently did somthing wrong since it never completely loaded windows afterward. Then after repeated tries to get it to load the bios chip became corrupted.
I R having No Luck with This board.

The BIOS works fine, no memory or lock ups with OC.

    THE CPU RATIO setting sucks!!!!!!

    Shuttle....tested the bios before release??

Ok, looks like the 025 bios is less than stellar.

What is the best combination of settings, oc and stability to try out of the BIOS versions available?

The new version gives me no advantage or disadvantage. Ok I can select the multiplier but after setting it to 9x the board will not boot anymore.
OC results are the same here.

    Support Metal!
