    Infinity Owners...post Here

OK My fellow infinty owners! Here will be a thread for our accomplishments with this new NF2 Overclocking demon! Now, this thread can be used to brag, to gloat, to compare, for reference, etc. So have at it. Show us what youve got, what you've done, and how you did it!

Only thing I would like to see people post is THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT FACTORS.... what MEMORY you're using and what BIOS you're using. Thanks Fellas, and happy OC to y'all.

The Infinity is $92 shipped at the egg: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...on=%20Infinity

Easy overclocker with the beta BIOS', I like the 12-18 version by OSKAR_WU, get 'em here: http://www.midnightmachine.com/modul...wcat.php?cid=2

Known problems? Some are having boot issues with WD drives, my WD 200BB and Maxtors all work fine. No Vcore over 2.00 but that's an easy mod. No other gotchas as of this writing.

Vcore to 2.00, Vdimm to 3.3, Vdd to 1.9, FSB to 300.

Mine is absolutely stock (until tonight ).

Hard to beat for the money, I'm running an old 1700+ in mine 'til I locate a better processor.

Depends on the sweet-spot of that barton, same as any processor. Memory, as well. There isn't a lot of memory that does DDR500 day in and day out without some kind of issue or relaxed timings.

one thing i dont like on this board is when u save and exit BIOS, it just sits and u have to wait for it to come on again. on the nf7 it says, saving BIOS, then reboots. so when i do BIOS changes on this one, i just hope that it comes on again. Also, sometimes it wont come back on, and it just sits there. then i have to turn off the PSU and boot it again, and its ok`

Not seeing that here, bigpoppa. Save settings, reboot and it comes right back.

In fact, it's quick and I like seeing that "Saving" message. What memory, CPU and FSB are you running when you see that behavior?

    ^5 SJ!...thanx 4 the report...I think what you said...
    >> Hard to beat for the money <<
sorta brought the whole thing home for me...I can't justify the ca$h for something that I've already got...ie...one of my nf7s pretty much out_specs this new board...it's already been heavily modded...and 'IT'S PAID FOR' ...so I think for now...I'll just keep the junk drawer locked...an ease on down the road...thanx again...very much appreciated on this end!

Anybody know if the DFI Ultra-AL is a B-revision board like the Ultra Infinity is?

And are there any beta BIOS available for the DFI Ultra-AL?

Sounds wise, if I already had that kind of NF7 I wouldn't need to get the DFI either...

wicktron - check the DFI forum over at amdmb.com - OSKAR_WU hangs out there and from what little we know is an expert on the DFI boards.

no §§§§, i see that when i boot up, not immediately after i save and exit bios. On most mobo, AFAIK, as soon as you hit F10 to save and exit BIOS, it wil go to a msg, telling you its saving the bios or somehting like that. but when i hit f10, it exits, the monitor goes off, it sits for about 5 seconds or so, then pops on again, and boots

The inifinity doesn't do it that way. It works more like the VIA boards in that the NF7-S F10-Blank Screen-Saving Settings Message-Blank Screen-Post sequence is, instead, F10-Blank Screen-Post.

The Lanparty has a few extras, it glows in the dark, comes with rounded IDE leads, some median card reader, a couple of other bits. Basicly there the same, if you dont need/want the extras get the infinity.

The lanparty cost 1300DKR and that is like 211 amerikan dollars!!
Pretty exspencive for a motherboard to AMD... Well, if it is the only way to go...

My system in my sig, is not stable over 215Mhz FSB, and i tried everything!!!
