    Ok guys, here`s sum Extreme Edition action like 22,5k on 9500np and stuff

    Ok, so we, ModLabs, have got ourselves a new toy - a P4EE 3,2. And i must tell you its much better then the original 3,2`s and better then a64 fx51!

    If the original 3,2 could only get 3,6 on my watercooler, this baby went all the way up to 3,75 under watercooler and smashed a vapochilled p4 3,2@4065!

    Here`s some stats for you about mine 9500np on diff CPUs.

    I`ve got 20656 under my watercooler using P4 3,2@3,6
    I`ve got 21542 under vapochillXE using same p4 3,2@4,06
    I`ve got 22100 under koolance using athlon64 fx51 @ 2400
    I`ve got 22552 under my watercooler using P4EE 3,2@3,75

    Is there anything to add? Yeh i know, the EE vapochill tests. They will be ready tomorrow, i hope.

    This new CPU has some serious power!

    About time someone benched one of those things! I wanna see one of those with an R9800 at high clocks....its for sure to beat some records with ease.

    You could lend it to macci so he can throw it in his P4C800 and see what it can do .

    We have Geil GT2 Radeon 9800Pro here and we`ll test it with this baby tomorrow. It has stock clocks of 445/740.

    We didnt even plan to test it on my watercooler, but my m8, ALT-F13 was lazy enough not to flash a new bios that supports this CPU and thought it was dead. So i took it to test on another mobo and mine didn`t boot first too.

    We both use P4P800 boards coz these are the fastest. I flashed mine with the latest 1010 bios and it booted up!

    The thing is though, it seems Intel will never make too many of these EEs and they are not supposed to ever even come in a retail box..(they prolly dont like selling 3K$+ CPUs for 900 lol) sure some people are going to get a hold of them but it wont be much of a fair contest benching against a 2 meg L3 chip

    actually for 3.75 GHz and those clocks, i expected higher lobby and car test hmmmm

    if someone can get 240 FSB on an FX at 2.9G+ then i dont think Intel will take the crown....unless the LN2 madness starts again

    When looking at past EE scores and these simply add 10% of the clock speed to the speed to work out equivalent normal P4 you'd need

    ie 3.2 => 3.5
    3.6=> 4Ghz
    3.75 -> 4.2 ish Ghz

    So if someone can get 4.3-4.5Ghz out of these then that is a 4.8-5Ghz P4 and if it runs 3dmark2001 at that speed then it is going to be hard to beat.

    The advantage with the EE of course is that the motherboards are a known quantiy of course. Macci or DJ simply have to drop the chip in and hope they have a good one. They could be getting record scores within a very short period of time.

    That pfiast looks too slow if it is 3.75 @ 232FSB, I'd expect 49-50s. Did you run the batch file to give the right settings ?

    I'd actually quite like one of these chips but the expense just knocks me out.

    What's the superpi time like ? 33-35s ?

    Regards

    Andy

    Ok, ALT-F13 will come out with some vapochill scores soon.
    The CPU did only 4100, but we`ve seen 680+ in a lobby lo
    Wait for further results and surely i`ll run pifast on a vapochilled machine again.

    HUGE lobby hi speed for that mobo/CPU/RAM combo!!
    Its only P4P800 (no PAT in 5:4 mode) and only 289 5:4 and with R9500 and still its almost 160FPS!
    Same FSB/RAM/CPU combo on P4C800 with 1002 BIOS would give 5-8FPS more.

    Now where do I get these chips??
    /me calls DJ for rescue! :P

    macci, i doubt that. We tried a bunch of mobos and selected P4P800 coz it was the fastest in all modes.

    Well, Laik, its actually MY board was faster than MY P4C... As you remember, P4C couldn't run stable at those clocks (290+ FSB)...

    Macci
    You should hurry my my friend... 26208 is fastest Intel bench in ORB and my is now 25796 with 495/395 crappy card...

    but you need a P4EE at 4.4 or 4.4ghz to beat an fx-51@2.8ghz... nice chip though!

    did you ever run it with air cooling? how much more hea does it produce copared to a normal P4 at the same clockspeed? 10%? 30%

    Max3 was a crapy board too, though it could run on same FSB clock, as i remember. I`m telling that 875 chipset is not that good.

    saaya, i dont know about aircooling, but on my watercooler it doesnt go higher then 32C on stock speeds. Same thing was with a normal 3,2, so i dont think its heating up too much. On 3760 1,75 v it did 38 degrees idle and like 42 burn. I dont think thats too much indeed.

    He's already got the setup (unless he sold it) all he needs is to drop an EE in there....27-28k would be had I would guess.
