New Barton

Just got a Retail Barton from a comp show near me. Not a bad price, 8 bux more than newegg's retail.

Here's the stepping:

AXDA2500 KV4D

Y82242821923

AQXEA 0318 MPHW

Just slapped it in and cranked her up.

So far: 11x180 @ default vcore

2.8v on the ram @ 11-2-2-2

imma see what she has

Well , Pumping the FSB to 220 needed 1.7v on the core to post and load windows. I'll keep climbing

I had the exact same "MPHW" but in week 323, and it was bada$$ with default voltage until 2.3Ghz, but needed 2V to go 2.4V

Well, I think I hit a wall. She won't give me the 2.5 Tried 1.75, 1.7 vdd and relaxed timings a bit, no go.

I'm at 11x220=2425Mhz w/1.7vcore but evryone knows the NF7-s 2.0 undervolts

Maybe i should just hang here until i get my dehumidifer project underway for some serious water chillin'

I guess 2.4Ghz @ 1.7v from a barton isn't too shabby

I agree..more voltage!!
Depending on your cooling but i'd say 2.0V is a safe limit, assuming you got something like a SLK or something similar.
I've been up to 2.06V with my SLK 800.

Tanx AFI I'm in the process if werking on a de-humidifier project. Gonna be some serious chillin' !! I have a neighbor in the next town who has a modded one, an XP2100 on an NF7 board and it's smokin' @ 2.65-2.7Ghz! Crankin' 2.1 volts thru the core and his full load temps don't even go above 12c, water temps stay around 0c !

Can you tell me more about the deshumidifer project ? have you a link or some picks ? In my forums there are a lot of "homemade prommy like" projects, but no deshumidifier ones

xigfrid, the dehumidifier is just another way of chilling the water.

Well , i don't think you will have trouble with your watercooling : i ve just stabilize (mean prime + game stable) my barton at 2.61Ghz with 2.2V and only 40°C at full load

i dun't trust the motherbaord sensors (bios 1.4b NF7-S), but the cpu bloc is not even warm, so i should be around this value

I'll try to get a waterchiller soon or to put my chip under a prommy to see what it can do also

Dam sweet xigfrid Congrats ! 2.2v and 40c at full load is really nice! Like you i'm not too happy with the mobo's sensors.

I flashed to the 18's and my temps at full load are 43c yet my wb is cool. i must be around the same mark in temps as you, maybe cooler, who knows

I might just flash back to the 14's or 17's.

I'm sure with my new chiller i should hit the 2.6-2.7 with ease

Wish i could afford a prommy, I'll wait till my fiance' asks what i want for xmas then i'll spring it on her
