460 / 380 with Zalman MEGASUPERBIG heatsink and a 92mm@5.5v blowing at it. Never tried with default hsf. Only thing I've heard is that memory clocks lower with Zalmans heatsink. (It's a Sapphire btw)

I have tried multiple, got bored at Compusa one day, bought 2, and took em back. Then ordered one online, and RMA'd it.

It was fun while it lasted.

(I didn't try mem on any of them since it is a negligible performance gain, and can be easily altered by airflow)

The Visiontek was the best for me, it hit 471 stock. The ATI couldn't break 438 stock. The Powercolour hit a solid 450.

All of these were overclocked to the point where artifacts first appeared.

I didn't get blackscreened with the Visiontek until 501, 474 with the ATI, and I didn't have time with the Powercolour.

    Hope this helps.

BTW, Sapphire is the OEM for ATI. So any ATI card you buy that isn't in retail packaging is a Sapphire.

First of all welcome to the Xtreme forums Juggernout !! glad to see you here !

I have an built by ATI R9800pro, I don't know if this will help you or not, I never ran it with the stock hs. With the MCW50-T and ramsinks I was able to OC 485/385. After Vmod for gpu I'm able to do 510 with no artifacts, it will go to 52x before locking up. No change with ram oc after vmod.

    Good luck with your purchase.

567/391. Using a Sapphire 9800 Pro with vgpu (1.9v), vddr(3.1v), and vref(1.5v) voltmods, ramsinks on the memory, and an old slot-1 vapochill on the gpu core.

With a little more voltage, 570 core might be possible. 600 core would be cccccoool

I got around 480 core out of the box with no artifacts (don't remember the mem speed). Up to 500 core with artifacts. After that I switched to watercooling and got no improvement until I voltmodded the card, then I got 520 core. It did 533 core with a 172w tec.

I personally wish I had a powercolor because some of them have 2ns ddr on them and people are oc'ing the memory on them past 400mhz...

So I guess I will get a Sapphire...
But as I said a friend of mine owns a Shop and he can test the card before selling it !

So i guess i will get a good one... I hope so

my friend got a Xtasy 9800 pro 2 days ago and we tried it in my PC with watercooling on it, and it did 475/390.
    thats not too bad.

the set up is alittle bland cause they don't give you any games or anything, but the card is good.
