Thumbs up Another milestone for my tiny cheap XP1700+ chip

2.01 volts, Prometeia cooled on an NF7 2.0

I think this must be one of the best clocks ever for a 1700 on phase change

    I reckon on a KD7 board I could make at least 3150

not 'above' mainly because I ran out of FSB. I'll run 3D at 3 GHz. That makes the FSB about 231 DC fastest timings. Now if only there wasnt a GF2 MX400 in my AGP slot

I got it in germany several weeks ago.

FSB is not an issue m8

I have personally modified the multiplier to 13x anyway and I can go as high as 22x now if I like

hmm must have misread it then somewhere, saw this post also on another forum where you mentioned that unlocking the MP was not going to be a thing you would risk to do

how did you succeed in unlocking those higher MP's ?

yea but that was long ago

I simply burnt the 3rd and 5th L3 bridge with the 5V line of my PSU. I've done that to several chips now, it was successful every time and only takes 20 seconds.

Ragnarok : this chip is not so exceptional in some ways... with my SLK-800 it will boot at 2.5 GHz 2.0 Vcore but it will not be stable at all. I've had chips that go much higher than this one on air, but it flies in the prom.... aside from a 2100+ that just made 3006 MHz, this is the only XP chip ive ever gotten past 3 GHz.
cooling makes this chip ... well... fly. I'm only using between 2 and 2.05V on the core, the rest is in the cooling.

    its a DLT3C JIUHB0308XPMW xxxxx280300

don't worry JC, your time back at the top of the ORB is coming. I'm sure its just a matter of time. Hopefully you can give these canterwoods a run for their money with that little gem.

Give them a run for their money? More like kick them in the pants! That is a way nice overclock. Now just lower the multiplier and raise the fsb and you have one of the sweetest amd chips ever. Sheesh, over a 1.5 ghz overclock, wish I could do that.

*tough* benches go at 3 GHz.

    light benches at 3.04-3.05 GHz

no 3Dmark yet due to no decent gfx card

but I do have sandra somewhere...

    Thumbs up

Why not make a run for the world's highest GF2MX score Seriously though why not just try a few loops to see which speed you can bench at then when you get a better card you won't need to waste as much time?? Not really trying to give you any hints or anything, I'm sure you know lot's more about 3DMARK than me, but I am just kinda curious how high you can go with that thing in 3DMARK....

yes, its warranty is thoroughly voided and has gained me several degrees lower under load

Royal : the system hardly matters when you're benching a GF2, and this card sucks But i'll give 3D a run!
