    Talking p4 2.4 SL6RZ @ 3.61 (200fsb) On Air !!!

My first post on here,hi guys, another SLR6Z success.
Initial report when first installing chip:-
Got an SLR6Z wk 52 Costa from AZN (thanx buddy )
Just rebuilt system with a BH7 and 2 x 256 Twinmoss 3200 w/winbond,now i'm just smiling all the way just booted into windows @ 190 fsb (3.43ghz) right now playing with mobo settings etc and gonna see what this chip can really do !!!
Btw this is @ stock voltage in actual fact the board undervolts chip to 1.475v !!!!
Gotta learn the best bios settings etc and also waiting on an slk9000 presently running volcano 7+ and under full is sitting @ 43c not bad as i thought the bh7 over reported the temps.
Thanx again AZN a top chip from top fella.
Best thing is i live in the U.K and stood no chance of getting such a chip over here.I'm as chuffed as a dog with 2 d**ks !!!!!

    Update :-
Managed to get my chip upto 200fsb which leaves me sitting pretty @ 3.61mhz.Had to relax the mem timings and swap out 1 of the sticks of twinmoss pc3200 w/winbond for another stick i had in my xp 8rda+ system.Seems that the 1 stick didn't want to go past 195.have tried 205 fsb but failed on login on winxp (froze)
i've got a feeling that there may be more now i've put the slk900u with 92mm sunon temps are looking good just barely going over 50-52c this is @ 1.65 (10%) volt increase.I've yet gotta try pushing further with just the 1 stick of mem in and varying mem slots as this got me further with my th7ii with 1.6a.
    Hoping but not greedy
Can't believe i've managed to get 3.61 on air outa this chip.
This is most definately the best overclock i've ever had or likely to.
    ---------1.2 ghz overclock-------

    Regards RjCoolio.

Cheers fellas for the warm welcome, remember a few of you on this board from other forums such as Ninja & Icrontic.Good to see u guys still pushing the cause.Next step for me with this setup is to cool the northbridge and try and get better fsb and timings outa this mem,btw it's BH5 but struggles to get anywhere near what some of u i.e Jupiler etc is getting regardless of volts.

    Congrats! I don't do Intel myself, but I see that's a respectable O.C., and that's what we're here for.

    Very nice. I saw a guy with a similar OC the other day on another forum. 200FSB with a P4 isn't too shabby :p Again, nice OC these 2.4's are looking very good. Have you tried different mem, maybe get some Hyper-X if those sticks can't do 215??? Still might have some headroom if you can lower your temps a bit I think. I have seen a lot higher speeds outta that TwinMos, but with one stick crapping out maybe you didn't get very good sticks. This is nothing short of amazing;

Damn, these SL6RZ are looking VERY nice indeed! Getting very tempting to switch to Intel... imagine if you whacked it in a Prommy!

Hi m8,as u probably know,i live in the U.K and u can't get these steppings (Costa Rica Wk52) over here,so i contacted a guy on another Oc forum who went to fry's in Dallas and managed to get me 1.Apparently they no longer hold this chip anymore. On this 'other' forum tho, there are guys that can get hold of them and are willing to ship for a nominal fee.
Best bit for me tho is that even after paying $159 for the chip plus $50 'collection' fee plus shipping $10, the chip still worked out at roughly the same price as a 2.4b in the U.K !!!!! £145
As much chance of getting 1 of these chips over here as finding rocking horse §§§§ !!!!!!

    Regards RjCoolio.

LOL, I guess it's a business to buy good OCing chips and then resell them for more. That is kinda lame if you ask me, but since you got it for a good price, it's not that bad afterall
Well, time to talk to my friend with the computer shop
