    NF7 v1.2 has arrived...some pics

Here are some pics for those interested.

    The board:

The socket area and mounting holes:

The holes still look pretty tight...here's a closer look. If any with a V1.1 can chime in here....do they look like any more space has been given? It looks like there should be no problems fitting the mounting posts. I'll know in an hour or so for sure.

The 4th hole not shown has plenty of clearance. There is nothing near the holes at all on the back of the board.

    The money shot:

I noticed all Rubycon caps near the socket:

Well...that's it for now. I'll be taking a few more pics then mounting the Swiftech waterblock and firing it up. I'll have a report in a little while.....I hope

mdzcpa - I wish I were in your shoes, thanks for posting up the 1st pics of the board that I've seen. Been trying like crazy to find one here or from a reseller with absolutely zero luck.

    Enjoy!

someone i know who has this motherboard is currently running it at 225 fsb without problems

however he hasnt figured out how to do the VDD chipset mod for increased voltage since the board layout is different

also the memory voltage when set to 2.9 volts actually gives 2.99 volts so that is a good sign

if anyone can come with a solution for VDD chipset mod and memory voltage mod please let me know
Beat on it till its BROKEN

Then you can say you did it right

Okay guys....the Swiftech block does indeed fit...woo hoo!

Here are a few more shots of just how close things are though. I used double washers on the front side of the mobo just to be safe.

Hope you guys don't mind me sucking up the bandwidth with the pics, but I think this particular issue warrants it.

Pretty tight fit eh? I know it might appear that the studs are touching something, but they are not. Only about 1mm to spare. In addition, the double felt washers are there for extra measure.

I should have some running results very soon.

Excellent! Thanks very, very much, as the hole/clearance issue is a factor for me now that I'm using the slk-900. It looks tight, but do-able.

In the second picture in your last post, is that a drop of water I see?!

    I sure hope not.

EDIT: Almost forgot, I love the color, how is it in person? And what kind of camera do you have?
