Its been quite a long time since Ive seen anything from New Beetle...

    Impressive Air results. 3216MHz.

Dry Ice a little higher, but LN2 no change really...

Like the Air results very much so though

can i ask, what was limiting the Dice and LN2 results? FSB like the yonahs? or just simply didnt scale on the better cooling?

impressive results and as Philosophy said, amd = owned

    conroe here we all come

damn this is another celi blowing away AMD and this on AIR
One of the best air-cooling show-offs I've ever seen, your results show that you won't gain that much with extreme cooling - you think this will be a general behaviour of the new intels? I have the slight feeling it will...
I mean 200MHZ for what effort? Maybe it's fun to play around with LN2 but I think ALL you need for this one is a good phase change for sure.
Times are over you gained 500 MHZ and more with better and better cooling. Call me wrong but that's my opinion 'bout the future.

Think its down to the board...

With this being a 420, has 12x multi. Dumo had 3576MHz & 19.234 secs from this 430. Using the 13x multi. 275 being this FSB. Thats with DI too.

Maybe the cpu's but, I think its the board...

Any news on a Celery using 14x multi? Celeron M 440 1.86GHz? That should provide nice MHz figures overclocks.

Just shows you, the Japanese are insane Super PI kings Just 0.400 secs or there abouts from Dumo using DI and New Beatle using Air. Dumo had 360MHz extra too.

Using DI, still not as fast as Dumo... 166MHz slower, New Beatle is half a second faster though...

Not taking anything from Dumo's overclocking job though. 100%+ overclock aint too shaby

    Very impressive

    only 3.4Ghz Celeron can do 15min35 pi_32m ?
even a Yonah with high fsb cannot do that.
    if 3.4G pi_32m=15min35sec , then pi_1m must be 17sec
    besides... Tyrou's T2600 @ 3830mhz pi_8m=3min10sec

    this CM420 @ 3390mhz pi_8m=3min18sec ??
    possible ?
I have a lot of CM430/420 in hand, normally, CM is 2sec slower in PI_1M than a Yonah with the same settings.
so ... imagine what will happen in pi_32m ?

Haven't you ever wondered why Tyrou's Pi & perhaps yours were so slow?
New Beetle is the King of the Kings with respect to Pi.
Besides, we, @Team Japan, posted how we run Pi here in XS so many times...

A bit of surprise to see such comments from XIP like you

    FYI, 1M Ranking, 8M Ranking, 32M Ranking

    Cheers

from what ive heard, its the moble and celly chips that are having an FSB wall issue, the desktop chips should be better and therefore scale a lot better with decent cooling.

and as better boards come out im sure the FSB issue will be reduced alot (DFI anyone?)

    mine T2400 @ 282_11 pi_32m=17min15sec, meanwhile pi_1m=19.08sec

    I tried 284_11 pi_1m=18.9sec, meanwhile pi_32m may be arround 16min55~17min05

    so... how can a CM420 pi_1m = 18.5sec runs pi_32m=15min34sec?
    that's what i'm wondering.

i'm just a little bird and wanna to figure out why .
    system optimize ?
    win2003 helps ?
close some threads in taskmanager ?
set pi running with real-time prio ?
    set affinity ?
    or someother ways ?

    hope to learn

Guess Who made the frontpage: http://www.xtremesystems.com/index.php

Congrats on the amazing celeron run New Beetle

And VictorWang, I don't think its fair comparing a Yonah with a Celeron Yonah, despite you being one of the best Yonah ocers around.

i don't know whether CM runs faster in pi_32m and I'll check out tomorrow.
still have a CM430/420 in hand.

but...I'm expecting someone sharing the way to run soooo fast in pi_32m

Yeah, if anyone was thinking about getting a Yonah Core solo,....might as well get a Celeron 420/430 instead. Since the Core solo reportedly costs nearly as much as the Yonah T2300.

tyrou don't know not optimized these benchmarks , damage because the frequency is very good
but it would be necessary that it gives itself the means of making it and that doesn't seem to be its priority
