Conroe did 11,500 on air (both CPU and cards), see sig for proof of score. This was with air on the CPU vs. his water plus only half the cores. To say dual Conroe is needed is mad.

Comparing 7900gt's to x1900xt CF?

If you threw the same cards in that opteron system it'd go a hell of alot further than a single conroe. Conroe didn't come close to that cpu score.

Of course, due to the price difference, it's 100% unfair to compare the 2. That opteron system costs more than the down payment on a Bently.

However, that CPU score is too much for conroe to overcome, plain and simple.

p.s. Ahmad, the only 3dmark that doesn't depend on CPU now is 3dmark03. 01,05, and 06 all take a powerful processor/processors to hammer out good scores.
