    Abit Aw8 + Centon = Stability Probs?

    Hi,

i´m using a abit aw8 with 2 Gb centon memory, an ive a lot of stability problems. im getting one bluescreen after the other, even if i underclock the system. i think that there aere big incompatibilities with the used memory. the bios version is the newest.

    Infos about the Memory:

    Brand : Centon
    Size : 4*512 MB
    Part Number: MT47H64M8BT-37E:A
    FBGA Code: D9DQW

are there existung modbios versions which are supporting my memory?

the memory isnt overclocked yet. i tried running the system with only one 512 mb stick but after 5 min i get a bluescreen. i dont think that the problem can anything else than the memory. do you need some special informations? or what you think can be the cause of those problems

Xtasy where was it you picked up this RAM? Also have you tried any other sticks to see if it is a chipset issue? I have a system at home running that has been months now and I have not had any issues and they are clocked..

normally i should get tody 2*512 mb corsair value ddr533 to test my mainboard.

i tested my centon ram in safe mode, an there were no restarts, even when im watching a film. in normal windows mode the system restarts after a few moments if im looking a film, but i cant surf in the internet for hours without a
restart. i dont understand the world anymore -.-

You can also try one stick at a time to see if one is defective.
