What is the vcore bios options? I've heard that it may be 1.55 only.

It looks like you have the shipped BIOS. A newer one is available at their website and I've heard from some reviews that it fixes a lot of stuttering in games, especially BF2.

I bought this board today off of newegg along with 2x1gb G. Skill HZ, Opty 170, 2 X1900 crossfire cards. I'll be watercooling everything and I'm hoping the 1.55 vcore doesn't limit me if I have to go up to 1.60V to hopefully get 3 ghz. I'll post some results when I have time, may be a week or so.

It will be interesting to see how this versus DFI's new offering plays out.

My only doubts with this board (and I'll soon be able to verify upon testing) but the placement of the PCI and PCI-E slots may be too cramped. Since this board is geared toward using 2 crossfire cards, and unless everyone removes the bulky stock fan, I don't think there will be room for more than a sound card. I have a X-Fi and Linksys wireless PCI. I may have to ditch the wireless PCI completely. I'm also tempted to try the Ageia PhysX card when it comes out but I don't know if that will fit either.

The DFI 3200 board may be a better option for spacing but that likely won't hit retail for another month.

This uses the RD580 chipset right? Wouldn't the DFI motherboard clock better or would it be on par with this Asus?

Either way it doesn’t effect me as my Venus comes Monday
