    A8R32-MVP Deluxe freeze in CSS , BF2 ...

Well , i had this board for 1 day and got this serious problem

    Benches , 3DMark , prime .... are ok
But when i played online games such as CSS , BF2 , it got freezed 5-7 seconds in every 5 second

I tried to re-install Catalyst driver ( Vid X850XT ) but it still the same

I read in Asus forum there are many ppl have the same problem like me
So i wanna know someone here in XS got the same ? If there is no fix for this bug , i will return this board ASAP
    Asuck***

PS : i use latest bios

    edit:
I re-installed new WinXP SP2 , updated Bios beta ( from Tony ) but not fix

A better review than the Anand one of this board.

Read the frontpage of DH for more reported problems:

    http://www.driverheaven.net/

You might want to read their forums. The support for the previous A8R MVP board is sad.

On a side note I am hearing more and more about ASUS boards, including this one, and shoddy IRQ assignment|sharing.

That's pretty standard for Asus lately. Have they released any board in the last six months without a myriad of issues? Their QA has gone straight into the toilet. Say what you will about the old Intel regime but at least we knew the mobos would be stable.

Yeah, this board is only good for running 3dmark on atm.
Playing BF2 is impossible. Low framerates and weird stuttering. I'm gonna pop my NF4 mobo back in and wait for a fix.

Because the reviewers only run benchmarks, not real game play.

the odder part than the review sites missing this, is asus missing this. i mean, what part of their ass do they use to test the damn mobo? this isnt some specific ram incompaitibility or some other small bug, the board doesnt work at the fundamental level. asus is on my blacklist for this crap...

Got the same mobo and it's working fine with me. Completly stable @ 2.5ghz, 1.45v, with dual 7800GT's in SLI.

There was only really one (ok two) problems with mine and both were in the bios. First, I had to manually set the NB to SB Hypertransport link to its full potential (since I got SLI it REALLY matters that it runs at full speed). The problem with the NB to SB is that it sets it at 200x2 which is only 400mhz on the Hypertransport speed. I had to manually make it 200x5 to give it full potential. Not that that really matters to you though.

The second problem is my ram craps out at 250mhz. Not Asus's problem though (at least not that I know of).

Overall, according to me, I think it's a great mobo. But thats just my experience with it.

did you install all patches if you are using dual core?
    for instance,

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Throttle]
    "PerfEnablePackageIdle"=dword:00000001
