    OCB (Open CPU Benchmark)

    Hello Boys!!!

I'm an italian guy developing a new benchmark for our CPUs (that use Single and Multi Core (even HyperThreading)) named OCB (Open CPU Benchmark).
Open because it is Fully Open Source.
It calculate a pack of Prime Number with the tecnique named Crieve of Eratosthene.

Here's a link where you can find it :

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/opencpubench

It require the presence of the .NET Framework 2.0 that you can find here

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

And here the HALL OF FAME updated after i've valided the result (if they are complete) you've sended with the "SEND RESULT" function.

    http://www.bluesailor.net/ocb/Hall.aspx?c=1&nprimi=6

Please try it and tell me what do you think. ^_^

Here's a screenshot from my crap PC.

    Good Benchmark to everyone.

Havent tried it yet, but looking at your first SS i notice "vuoto" which i'm presuming means no result or similar.
If the rest of the interface is in English, I think the results should be too.

hmm .NET Framework 2.0 doesn't work with ATI CCC for X1800 series cards though - any chance of removing the .NET framework requirement ?

Sorry, but I don't believe in results. It says that my dothan @ 2.8Ghz is slower than C13 Athlon64 3200+ DDR400. This is BS. My dothan easily beats 3Ghz Venice in SuperPI and 3D!

i've tried with my 165 oced to 3.15 with 2X256 BH5 @ +260 , i can't do better than the FX60@3ghz, this is a BS, or this bench loves the Ram quantity or bandwith, or there is a tweak ??

    Pol---> don't forget to install net.framework

the bench LOVE the ram bandwidth, with a low bandwidth you will never get an appropriate result even at high frequency.
(and the test require at least 512 GB of FREE ram for correct execution)
(The statistics are updated every day at the 20:00-21:00 so if you don't see your result wait )

Ok, so this bench is not for BH users and is not really representative :/
But congratz for the creation of this new little benchmark for dual cores

if you accurately see the ranking, your Dothan seems to be faster in the short term (in fact you are FIRST in the 16M category) but slower in the long term.
I have to analyze this fact...(what are your memory specs?)

The test was run @ 232 2-3-2-6. My ddr booster was in the 2nd rig and I didn't use it. I can take it and run @ 260+ 2-2-2-6. Although as you all know Intel RAM latency is slower than AMD (memory controller)
