Crazy stuff made by AMD, those OPTERONs.

This here came today, 148 CAB2E 0545 MPMW. Threw it in without some longer testings. On avarage WC:

FX-57 stock speed with 1.376 Vcore on water........., unbelievable. This voltage is below stock.

    More to come soon..........

The clocks seem to depend so much on the stepping with these things. I've got a 146 that's prime stable for 12 hours at just under 1.36v at 2.8Ghz. Some won't do that at high voltages.

This 148 should do better purely because of the higher multi.

If you are going to use that above 0c then it's like god but if you let it down below 0, you will feel it's garbage.

This is without a divider - I like to squeeze my RAM......... - so I think I caught up a nice mem controller.......

Just take a look at the latency

HCC, I curse the AMD gods, but they beckon you to increase vcore to save the mem controller.

But anyways, Impressive results, wish my 3700+ did that well with volts, got my X850XT and struggled to run 3D at speeds that passed 24+ hours of SP2004 .

    O.K. - 3GHz is one thing but I also like 1:1 overclock with a latency below 32 :

frank, youve been out of the loop for some time
there are many 146 and even a few 144 opterons that oc better than this chip. on air!

its still a nice oc though
    and welcome back

EDIT: CASE temp! CASE, not cpu temp!
thats the max temp the case air should have
