    Sneak Peek

For those of you that don't venture to OCforums:

Well it's that time again, a new build in the works. Finally got my custom UFO after a long 5 week wait. Note the color and the 3 SEPERATE panels for the sides and the top, no more clamshell one piece like my current case. This is the main reason for the switch, though there are some other cool little bits I'll be doing as well. I have the PA120.3 and the aluminum Coolermaster 120 x 38mm fans which I have tapped to accept normal threaded metal screws, I have chose black allen bolts. I think I will be tapping all fans and using these bolts all around as I like the look. Well, gotta run ATM but here are a few pics.

Sorry for the blur the case now only uses 120mm fans

    Test fitting of the PA120.3

Sorry for the blur... Screws (dont look as black as they really are here)

Wow that is one sweet looking case! Do they normally come with separate side panels or is that an option?

keep us posted, i'm curious about the plans for internal aesthetics.

Thx d00d except the plexi is just smoked... not green at all. I guess the color of the case makes it look tinted in the pics but they are not. I was going to go with UV tinted green plexi, glad i did not.

ah cool, i see it now. so what can we expect on the inside? is this a solid green or two-toned setup? LEDs or UV cathodes? can't wait to see the finished product d00d. nice so far.

i did notice the silver power and reset buttons and the two screws there. any plans to paint those black or replace with black switches to match the rest?

nik your sig needs to have "Because cost is no object" put in it somewhere.

I have heard a little bit about those aluminum fans. How are they compared to the denkis and panaflows?

One thing I have to shake my head at though, is the green paint job.. Why oh why.. that thing will be visible from space.

Oh maxxx money is an object... when I sell my black one, well, the cost will be minimal. And it isnt a paint job, it is powdercoated

No better case around in my opinion. Looking nice as always.

Haha, yea, don't know if I'm too keen on the green either Maxxx, but more props to Nik for wanting to 'express himself'.

And about the coolermaster aluminum fans, they have excellent specs. 120x38mm, around 55cfm, and low 20's for the dba. Good static pressure due to their 38mm width, but nice and quiet.

I call dibs on naming niks machine. I shall proclaim it "The mean green machine"

nik: I know its not paint but rather powdercoat.. paint job was a figure of speech... the guy at the powder coating shop must have had a pair of welders goggles on when working with your case.. its nearly radioactive its so brite.

BUT as enjoy said props for expressing yourself if thats what you want to call it.

    Pretty sweet!

It almost looks like a watermelon; you know the ones that are engineered to grow in cubes so they fit in fridges easier

He got them on a big deal from a site a few weeks ago. Something like $7 a fan it worked out too.
