    146+DFI+TCCD= I give up! Help!!

Ok I'm about to pull my hair out. (i'm sure afireinside is right beside me with all my questions).

Rig is in sig, only thing thats changed is Opty 146. I'm using Bios 6-23 (d/l from dfi's website).

I'm almost positive I have TCCD ram, OCZ EL Plat Rev2 Pc-3200.

Here is where things get funky. If I put ram in Orange slots I can't change mem timings in bios, only in A64 Tweaker. I'm also maxed out at 245mhz at any divider, timing ect. If I put ram in Yellow Slots I can change timings in BIOS but not in A64 Tweaker. I'm still playing with max mem freq in these slots.

So does anyone have any help for me here? I can try some 3700EB, just don't have time to go get it tonight.

I'd say reflash the bios, something must have gone wrong since you can't change memsettings from bios.

I use 623-3 and my TCCD does rather good in my Ultra-d with an opti 146.

300+ MHz from the RAM is no problem.

This thing keeps getting odder. Now after putting ram back in orange slots I can't use A64 tweaker. Back to changing timings in bios.

That and I have no clue what to change em too. Mucker, you settings resulted in no boot.

    Zues,
I had the same problem with the old cpu. AFI and I played with it and I just gave up b/c I was waiting on this cpu.

I'm playing with memtest now so I don't fubar my windows install. Right now i'm running 166 divider and 255htt for 2551mhz which is higher than i've been. 20min no errors right now at 3-4-4-8.

Ok as weird as my board is, i have it at 2.8ghz. 150max mem, 280htt. Vcore may be higher than needed i dunno for sure. I just set it there and left it.

I had to change everything In the bios manually to get it to go this high. I have alot of tweaking to do but i'm happy I have one that does at least 2.8ghz.

Keep an eye on the temps, i see 57C after your run, what was it during your Pi run?

Try to improve on the cooling part, these CPU's have potential.

    Zues,
Yep, i'm ordering a TT BT here soon to hold me over till my Mach I gets fixed.

Anywase, I played with the above settings for a while. Did a 32m sPI run and got 29min. Now, I did shut off D2OL and my temps went down, I'm seeing 53c load during 32m sPI.

However, I was like hmm wonder if I can do 280x10 1:1...

w00t. I'm happy. I'll try 32m sPI along with 10x290 here soon too. As you can see temps are @53c. Tomorrow I'll nock the vcore down if I can.

It's at 1.61-1.62, not what cpu-z says. Use a multimeter and you'll see that what you set the BIOS to is almost EXACTLY what the chip gets.

Is that a safe place to be? I have 50C max load with an XP-90 (2900rpm, 92mm fan)...where are the physical locations for measurement on an DFI nF4 Ultra-D? thx...

My DFI overvolts very little (+0.005V) but i've saw other DFI boards with more overvolt. So, if you set in BIOS 1.6V or more is convenient have in mind the overvolt in DFI.
