Post your Best 1m ss on any opty@3.0 or less

I'd like to see some ss of any opty running any memory timings at 3000 or less. I say or less because a super tweaker might do just as good even if his cpu can't hit 3000.

Please post a cpu-z ss of cpu and memory and a tweaker ss. I don't really care if it takes 1.32v or 1.8v, as this is just to see how much difference there is in the memory and tweaking skills.

heres one i did the other day while mucking around with someone else's 144.
RAM timings werent tweaked at all, and CPU wasnt at its max clock.
Win XP SP2 tweaked, and OCZ 4000vx

I tried for 11 x 272 1:1, but this opteron will not work at all with the 1:1 setting

2 x 256Mb OCZ PC3500 Platinum LE + Opteron 148 @ 9 x 333 5:6 unoptimised.

looks like all SPI 1M runs are in the 27s at around 3.0Ghz, mine also did the same.

It will take some really good ram and tweaking to break into the 26's.

I think there must be more than some tweaking!

Look at my run. I had my ram at 2-2-2-5 @ 264MHz and 2,95ghz and i am at low 28 sec .... i think under 3ghz you cant rech 26 sec.

You have to be alittle closer to 3.0 and I don't think your ram's tweaked all the way. Post a tweaker ss.

Your ram is at 246 not 264, big difference.

i'll compare with my future opty 146 this week but i think 26 is easy possible

Right. i had 264mhz on the screenshot i posted before. For a tweaker ss i´ll have to insert the booster and the other memory .... maybe tomorrow.

I'd already tried 300 x 10 and put my Redline XP4000 on divider so ram was running at 250 @2-2-2-5 1T with tight timing, I was still getting 27s, the only way to break 27s is 11 x273 1:1 @2-2-2-5 1T. My Redline can do 270 spi32m with 3700SD but not sure how the opty's memory controller going to cope with it, whenever I have a chance I'll try it tonight when i get home from work....27s is definitely breakable at or under 3.0Ghz

I agree, but you have to be in the 270's@2-2-2 or the hard way 375x8 with a 5/06 and very good TCCD 2.5-3-3.

Here is 11x273. OCZ plats tcc5. This is about as high as my memory will go with 2.5-3-3 timings. Cooling with big typhoon. I also have this posted in the opty thread. Not prime stable, but good enough for my first ever 3.0ghz

OCZ ??? plats, which ones? Will they run 300@2.5-4-3 ? If so, drop down to 10x300 1:1.

almost made 27's with my opteron 144, i think if i had 10mhz left in it, it would have been done

also, voltage was really 1.6, not 1.4, and the ram was 2x512mb ballistix.. one stick of which is having "issues". it was more of a max cpu speed test than a min sPI 1m bench session



i need to play with the 146 and see if i can get much more out of it.

Sorry but i beg to differ.

Have a look at my screen, this with 300x10 1:1 2,5-3-3-7 perhaps i can tighten the subtimings a very little but i don't think sub 27 seconds is possible with an opteron @ 3GHz.

I might be wrong though.
Soon as my new RAM arrives i'll give it another shot.
Looking at the results, TCCD 1:1 with good timings seem to be the way to go for SuperPi.

edit: just found out that your example will bring thr RAM up to 312, so that might bring 26.xxx seconds home.
