Need Help In Choosing a PSU

Hi,
I plan to purchase a new PSU so I can run SLI but I cannot decide which is the best buy.
BTW I looked through the sticky threads and still can't decide.

I have:

DFI nForce4 Infinity SLI.
AMD 64 3000+ (which I plan to overclock)
4GB of Gigaram RAM DDR 400, PC 3200, Dual Channel Mode (4 x 1gb) w/heatspreaders.
2 Leadtek Geforce 6800 256mb video cards. (Which I possibly want to overclock)
Audigy 2 ZS sound card.
TV tuner card.
75gb 10,000 RPM Hard Drive
DVD Drive
CD-RW Drive

Thats all I can really think of.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought mine last month and it runs great, it's cool, silent, good looking and has connectors for everything except the BTX mobos with 8pin CPU connector. It always keeps the voltages above the nominal value, but note that my pc is not a hard match for a high end 600W PSU.

Tagan PSU''s are nice; quiet, stable and loads of power. I highly recommend the "Tagan TG530-U22 530W 2Force"
couldnt be better really, maybe with adjustable rails like the OCZ's the Hiper Type-R is meant to be quite good,
I got one to power some TEC's but i havnt tried it out in a system yet.
Stay away from Enermax, they explode (j/k by the way following this thread)

It is just a complete waste of money. You would be much better off buying a single card that would be faster then two 6800's.

SLI is a complete waste of money, unless you have money to spend on dual 7800GT/X's. Otherwise your money will be better spent on a faster single card. Purchasing an SLI setup that uses a previous generation of card when something faster is out in a single card is, well IMO, dumb. Especially when the faster single card would be cheaper. You also have to factor in costs for an SLI motherboard and other things if you don't already have them or are planning for a new rig.

Does it really make any sense to pay more for less performance? No, it doesn't and that is what you do when running SLI with previous generation cards.

Actually, after looking at price it seems even more of a dumb idea. The lowest price on newegg for the 6800 without MIR is $164 ($328 for 2) and the 7800GT is ~$359. This is only a $31 price difference for a good increase in performance. The price for the SLI'd 6800's doesn't even account for the additional price for an SLI motherboard and other things.

Now i have three options to choose from:
1. Enermax Noisetaker EG495AX-VE
2. Antec NeoPower 480 EC
3. OCZ ModStream 450W

Which, in your opinion, is the Best PSU from this three options?

Ok, first I got one hell of a deal on two refurbed cards for $120 each. (bought locally)
Second, I got SLi board because of this reason. I figured before I just skip to town on two 7800GTXs (which I do have plenty of money for) I would rather wait and be patient until the next generation cards come out that has DirectX 10 capability in them. Also with SM 4.0 and some other goodies.
Hell, I can get an average of 70 FPS in Doom 3 on 800x600 high quality with one card and 2GB of RAM! Add in 2 GB more (of which I just recently ordered) of ram and an OC'd AMD 3000+ to a stable 2.2 GHz (OC'd right now w/stock heatsink from 1.8 GHz)

Good quality, 120mm fan but most important triple 12V rails! :thumbsup:

I'd get either one of those. If you want Modular, get the Neo. If you like wires, get the Enermax.

Or, if you wanna go the enermax route and like modular PSU's, the new Enermax Liberty might be a good choice.

I got mine on friday, hooked it on my P5WD2 and 630 @ 4150Mhz and so far, I'm very pleased with it.

I've been happy with my Seasonic S12 600W, I'm not running SLI but it should be more than enough power for your needs.

Also, the first one I recieved died the 4th time I booted my computer, but Seasonic's RMA department was good, it took less than 2 weeks from when I sent it to them til I recieved the replacement.

Wow this topic is still alive?
I just got my PSU from newegg last Thursday, it is the OCZ PowerStream 520W. Great PSU, keeps my Temp readings about 12C lower, which is awsome! And SLI takes system requirements and stomps them to a pulp.

But I do have a problem getting Windows to reconize 4 gigs of RAM. At first I couldn't even get POST to recognize it. Then I updated the BIOS and then it was all good in POST, but then it still read 2.75GB of RAM.
Is there some kind of work around because I don't want to get WinXP x64, I want to run my old games too. Also the lack of drivers is discouraging. I know there are work arounds because there are people who are running WinXP Home with 4GB of RAM just fin and dandy.
