    3,73ΕΕ & LN2 = weird problems

    Today i tried to play with LN2 and an ASUS P5WD2 Premium board with a 3,73EE cpu!

    When the board read in the bios -112 it didn't even boot!It booted once but the screen was freezing in the bios when i was trying to get in the hardware monitor....and many times before entering there!

    i thought that it was the board that have the problem so i tried the same set up at a Gigabyte GA-8I955X Royal Intel 955X !

    this time the pc worked for 2 minutes at 5.1GHz and then the same problem occured!

    I have to say that the same cpu worked under a non-modded prommeteia at 5.2GHz STABLE!It run PCMark05,3dMark05 and Spi with no problems and it was working for 5 hours continuously!

    Does anyone knows what is going on?

    Off topic: I have a weird problem with a P4C800 DLX too!It has the 1021.004 bios and i tried LN2 on a P4 2.4b cou....but when the bios read -111.5C the screen frized......does anyone know anything about this board??

    Most likely getting the caps on the motherboard too cold??

    check your contact and make sure you have plenty of contact pressure to the core.

    Dont start to cold.. Just add a little bit of ln2 in the container and let it cool down. Then turn on the pc and look on youre thermometer how cold youre tube is. When the system is in windows you can add more ln2. So you let the cpu getting used to the extreme cold. Then step by step add ln2 so you can oc on the themprature you want with ln2

    Thats youre problem! (atleast i think)

    P5WD2 won´t boot if temperature is too cold.
    The limit is somewhere between -85c - -90c

    @The Stilt

    If i try the way Waus-mod is telling you think that i'm gonna be ok?I am asking because you said that the P5WD2 won´t boot if temperature is too cold,but if i first boot with less cold and then cold the cpu better it will be ok??Or i will be taking the screen frized all the time?

    @Waus-mod

    Thanks man...i will try it!I was thinking the same think...¨)

    just pour ln2 in youre tube and measure youre themometer on lets say -40 then boot and add ln2 while in windows or so and then pour until youre screen freezes.. this way you can find out on what themprature your system is going to fail. Hopefully you have an great tube that can handle a strong themprature for a time. this way you can stay under the critical point
